Exclamation Mercedes GLS Mudflaps

Could someone share what their vehicle looks like from the angle and side profile with mud flaps installed. I'm looking to buy a set of 4 on AliExpress that's made for the 2020+ Mercedes GLS since it's cheaper and not willing to spend $90 dollars on plastic when it literally does the same purpose. Thanks!

Be sure to specify what model you have and the size of your wheels. GLS580 arches are different from 450s.
Also, they sent me arches for the 450 but for smaller fender lips (the black plastic). Since my 450 had the larger 21 inch tires, and the larger fender lips, what they sent me could not fit and I had to send it back.

Show us what you ordered and if it fits.

Your link does not work, or at least it does not bring me to the GLS flaps.
Either way, good luck and send us the pics after you do the install.

A couple of years later, has anyone found OEM or quality third-party mud flaps that will work on the GLS 580 with the AMG wheel well arches? I've got the MY24 and the black 23" wheels.

Thank you. It still lists these as not compatible with the MY24. But it probably still works. I will give them a shot.

Doh, it says the front flaps are only for vehicles "Without Running Board". I've got the running boards. I don't see any that work with running boards

I couldn't find it with search, but the site listed it as a suggestion:
https://mbparts.mbusa.com/oem-parts/...ard-1678903300

But then it says they are only compatible with MY 20-22.

So MB of Melbourne was really great in working with me to order these parts and give them a shot in my MY24 GLS 580. They tried the 167-890-33-00 (Mud Flaps, Front Set, With Running Board - Mercedes-Benz) and the rear mud flaps mentioned above.

For the rear mud flaps, they aren't possible to install or modify to fit. "There is a gap/angle difference in the wheel well design/liner preventing them from mounting properly and there is no modification that we may perform that would allow for them to fit and offer a proper finished product." So these fit MY20-22 only. There is no option for MY23-24.

For the front mud flaps, they could be installed, but they would need to drill through "the back of the running boards" to secure them. I asked for a picture of where they needed to drill. "The boards on your GLS appear to be somewhat different than the previous versions used and the difference was enough to prevent install. We thought the difference was only an aesthetic one however we were informed they are different in design shape as well thus preventing proper fitment. There also were no mounting points either, further preventing the install." So these only appear to be designed to work with the MY20-22 GLS and there were changes in MY23-24 that make them incompatible.

At this point, there is no sign that MB is working on mud flaps for this vehicle that clearly designed for towing and offroading. It's quite disappointing. The MY24 GLS has zero authorized accessories. MB of Melbourne is going to reach out to MBUSA to make a request for compatible mud flaps, but who knows if anything will come of that and when. I really appreciate their efforts though.

I guess that the next step is to search for a third-party that custom molds mud flaps. Any recommendations?

2024 AMG GLS 63
Fit Front not Rear

First post but thought worth it to inform.

Vehicle is a 2024 AMG GLS 63

OEM mug flaps fit front (with running board) but not rear.

The front will fit fastener for fastener location MINUS the one that goes verticals up through the bottom into the running board. This will require a hole drilled into the running board from bottom to top. All others line up exact. Get a hole punch to hold the 3 combined layers of the running board, wheel arch frame and flap together IOT have the horizontal fasteners grab all layers to hold.

The rear does not have proper contour to fit the AMG rear/diffuser curvature.

Of note with 22” factory snow wheel/tires on the front, some spray still hits the body…but much less.

OK, today I received the following bad news from MBUSA:

Due to lack of demand & lower historic sales volumes, we are phasing out of the mud flap business for dealer installation. No replenishment of stock once depleted.
So, there are no mud flaps that fit the 2024 GLS 580, and none will be manufactured by MB. So, I'll have to go looking for third-party custom manufacturers.

I wonder how widely this phasing out goes across all of the accessory categories. Especially with the few accessories available for the 2023 GLS 580 and that there are still ZERO accessories for the MY 24.

Pretty sure if you have running boards the fronts work. I will get a picture up today or tomorrow on my AMG 63. Not sure on the rears but the ones I have do not fit as mentioned above. Think the AMG diffuser to rear fender is different than non-AMG.

But, what I have found is that even with the MB fronts on, with the 22’ MB snow tire/wheel package (in the above photo), most throw back is caught but some is still hitting. About 90% reduction from no flap.
