MPG!

It’s hard to argue against these results. Especially when the car it replaced was a 1,000lbs lighter with a 3.5 V6 and would hit 20mpg with a tailwind going down hill from day 1 (2013 Toyota Highlander). This GLS 450 is 1,000lbs heavier, massive fat tires, nearly 100 more HP, and achieved this mpg while fully loaded with the family and gear down I-95 to the Carolina coast with very little chance for cruise control due to traffic…. I have no complaints!

I don't know, I'm not getting anywhere near 25 even on the highway. Maybe 21, but I'm also cruising 75-85. I will say city mileage is very impressive.

I agree. I am getting much better mileage in my GLS than my GLE350 does. I hit 25 mpg on my regular runs up and down I-83 between Harrisburg and Baltimore, traveling with the flow (75-85 mph generally).

I could’ve done better if traffic were easier and cruise control could’ve been used (78mph on the nose). But got into the first wave of DC outflow to the outer banks and lots of inconsistencies in speed. When we’d hit the side “back way” roads to the coast where I could set the cruise for a 20
mile stretch, it would climb up towards 26, and back down once the traffic came back. I’m impressed! But I’m also impressed with my now 8 year old 212 that hits close to 30 mpg on cruise at 78mph as well, and it too is 4-Matic.

Guess I shouldn’t except anything less, considering how expensive gasoline is in Germany where these cars are designed.
