Prepaid maintenance and extended warranty prices
#26
Hi, thinking about getting the extended warranty. And just wondering what the benefits are. If I read the description, a lot of things are not covered like the battery and structs. What do people primarily buy it for?

Won't cover, paint, trim, and things expected to wear out and need replacement (like the battery and struts and stuff).

I bought 4 years of PPM when I first bought my GLE350 new back in 2017. The PPM ran out last year and I paid my first service B. The tech found an some engine leak and the total bill including the service was $2100. He also told me at the next service, I would have to do brake system fluid flush, replace air filter element, and replace spark plugs which would be around $1400. He told me these items would be in addition to the regular service. He mentioned PPM would cover them.... does anyone know if this is true?

Hi,
I'm buying a new GLS 450 (2022) next month, at which point I'll need to make a decision whether to purchase extended warranty (say 7 years / 100k miles) and prepaid maintenance.
What prices would make a good deal / acceptable deal / horrible deal for each ? If it matters, I'm based in Northern California (South Bay).
Thank you!

That a total ripoff. On my E 43 after the original warranty expired I got a 3 year 100k for 2500. Dont get fleeced. The EQS has a ten year battery warranty, probably the only part of the car that could fail in that time (and would be very expensive)
