I’d rather use my phone as the key and not carry a fob, but $107,000 MSRP wasn’t enough to fund that feature.
Problem solved. Disassemble the key fob, cut up some card stock (I used my business card), wedge the card stock underneath the upper side and lower side of the hatch button, and now the button can't be pressed. Tutorial on an older version of the key where only the lower side of the button needed to be wedged:

There might a way to program it as well, not sure. Otherwise could also probably turning on valet lock in the glovebox.

BMW allows you to do that as I have the button disabled on my X3!

I’d be curious to know how the new version stacks up. My car already has the CR70/80 on it, right after I bought it home, just like with the AT. And thus far, I am happy with it.

In a prior car, I had a film called Autobahn films (I believe owned by Huper-Optik), which I was really happy with too.
