I am sitting in the car waiting for kids activities to finish.
is it possible to use the browser in gls and let the car to connect to the phone so it has internet?
i saw the vehicle hotspot option but I think that one is the other way around — need some internet et subscription for car and other device to connect to the car so it can use that internet subscription.
is there anyway to achieve what I wanted without paying subscription?
Technically possible as described in the owners manual starting on page 299, but not available in US spec vehicles, because they come standard with the permanently installed communication module. It's called the HERMES module, and it's a built-in hotspot that MBUX uses for its external connectivity, but requires a subscription. In order to enable external hotspots you'd have to remove the HERMES module and code it out.
