Deals on new 2023 GLS 450 orders?
Getting ready to place an order for a new 2023 GLS 450 and shopping dealerships. Just wondering what sorts of deals (if any) others have been offered recently. One quoted me 10k over MSRP. Considering if I should try contacting dealers farther outside my geographical area (northeast/urban). Appreciate any insights/tips.

I got mine for 2k under msrp. Mine was a custom order and I waited 6 months. Just took delivery of it last month. From what my guy told me the GLS and the G wagon have the longest lead times and most dealers don’t even have enough allocations and have waiting lists. One thing you can absolutely do is sign up for MBCA $50 per year and once you hit the 30 day mark you can get rebates and right now the rebate is $1k for a GLS. Dealers won’t tell you about it cause they want your money.

According to the MBCA: The rebate is applied at the time of purchase.
Below is the exact verbiage from their site: Primary U.S. members are eligible for exclusive rebates on the lease or purchase of select Mercedes-Benz vehicles after 30-days of consecutive membership. Members must login and scroll to the bottom of this page, click the Generate Rebate button, then submit their information. This will create a Control Number, CAN and Generated On Date, to give to the participating dealer at time of purchase. After the form is submitted, the rebate information can be found at the bottom of the rebate page while logged in, or in the My Membership area of your profile

Reading the MBCA rebate information, it is unclear. Does the "at the time of the purchase" mean at the time of the deposit/reservation or does it mean when the actual purchase closes?
I'm also wondering if that money comes from MB rather than the dealership. If so, the dealership shouldn't really care about it.

My MBCA rebate was applied at the time of delivery. I used the dealers computer, MBCA sent a code which I gave to the dealer and the rebate was applied on the invoice and I paid the remaing total.
