GLS 580 rattle during deceleration load
Hello All,
My GLS has rattle that is coming from engine compartment during deceleration. It’s middle pitched tone, not like a heat shield, but more like the sound of valve rattle or internal rod slap during deceleration load. However typically those types of issue would be heard under acceleration as well, so I’m not leaning towards an internal engine problem being the culprit. I read on a thread for the GLS450 that someone had a turbo problem with the waste gate and a ECM update, but never got a clear resolution on that one... It’s at the dealer now, so figured I’d see if anyone here had a similar experience that could expedite the repair. Thanks in advance!
