2023 GLS 450

Hi All:
I am new to this website, and MB cars. Planning to buy GLS 450, 2023 model. Few questions, can you please help educate me.

1. GLS 450- 3rd row access- 2nd row seat is a power/auto move, which seemed a bit sloer, is that correct- any observations?
2. Which dealer is better to order GLS, in TX? Some dealers say they are adding mark up? and some won't- any suggestions please?
3. What is the current wait time, some dealers in Dallas, Austin say they have allocation, so they can get in 4 months, some say they have wait list- may take upto 1yr. Can I go with the one who says 4 months, or are they trying to bluff me?

Please post your comments. Thanks.

GLS 450, Audi Q5
I just recently bought GLS 450 from dealer in Dallas. here is my story. I didnt want to pay a premium on top of MSRP, so i paid a deposit in April 2022 for 2022 GLS 450 with a promise to deliver in Fall 2022. But reality is, i got the allocation in Jan 2023 and i got my vehicle delivered in Feb 2023. Since it is Jan, i had to go for 2023 GLS 450, which had a price increase . net to net i had to pay 2K more and wait for almost 10 months.

1. The 2nd move is not that slow, i am happy with it
2. Any dealer with inventory is charging premium, if you don't mind the wait like me, then I can recommend Mercedes Benz of Grapevine as he would NOT charge over MSRP if you are planning pay a deposit to wait.
3. No dealer will give you a car in 4 weeks unless you plan to pay a premium over MSRP. I personally know that, it is a hot car and dealers have a long wait list (some are quoting almost an year wait). Not sure how true the wait times are.

2022 GLS 450
I find the move on the seat in the second row to be pretty slow but I don't have a great frame of reference. It's not like my child had a birthday while waiting for it, but I can put a dent in a can of beer while waiting.

If the "magic seat" works the same as on my '16 GL450, I'd say it folds up in a decent time. No, it's not as fast as the hydraulic ones on cars like the MDX but it offers much more opened space when it's finished folding.
I think the larger open space is worth the price of admission.
