Smile 2024 GLS 450

We are new to MB and looking at getting the 2024 GLS 450. However, I have a few questions:

1. This model has had no crash safety rating since 2019. Does anyone know how it does in case of a crash?
2. I was reading about the battery issue in the 2020+ model. Has that been resolved?
3. Any pros and cons that you can share with the 2020 - 2023 models?

Thank you!

1) The GLS hasn't been tested but the very similar GLE is an IIHS Top Safety Pick +. MB is generally one of the highest rated brands for safety, along with many of its European peers, so I would certainly expect the GLS to do well in an accident.
2) I can't say it has been completely resolved but I have not seen complaints recently so I assume the supplier of the 12 and 48 volt batteries have fized their issues.
3) Pros - technology, spacious, comfortable, somewhat fun to drive, customizable, very luxurious, very quiet
Cons - Expensive, so many options that it's hard to find oe on the lot in the perfect spec, transmision is a little lazy (though will probably be better then the Highlander), no 8 seat option, tech can be a little overwelming at the start
