MBUX Update
I have a 2022 GLS 450 and wondering if there is a way to update the MBUX software to latest version. I have noticed some new gadgets and screens in the latest version and wondering if I can get that update. Technically it is a software and wondering if someone can advise.

Does coding through RJ can void my warranty through Mercedes Benz. I had reached out to RJ Automotive and they recommended to buy remoteOBD with 5 credits. I would like to know if someone has used that dongle to do the coding themselves. How easy or difficult it is? They say - Simply plug the dongle in to the vehicle's OBD port and plug the USB into a Windows 10 laptop/ Macbook* connected to the internet.

I have personally used his dongle/service and it's worth every penny. Definitely go with him if you ever need anything.

Totally agree - RJ automotive updates excellent and easy - and great value. The Intelligent Lighting unlock is a must for every GLS / X167 - why MB shipped 3k per headlight units and disabled them in US is mystery held by the Feds (of sealed beam fame). Do a search for the videos on this - it is awesome feature. Also glad to have snow mode and sport+ enabled at last.

it just fits into the d-type ODB-2 port under front console below light switch. every car since 1996 has been required to have this - it used by state inspections. plug it in there, plug usb end into a laptop, and they do rest whilst on phone. very easy.

It's pretty comprehensive. Not everything will apply to every vehicle though. Depends on your model & what features your car was built with. When in doubt, ask and he'll tell you what he can do.

I just completed some programming last week. Easy peasy. Highly recommend RJA cuz his prices are cheaper. Took max 15min. He said he's too busy to do other programming besides what's on the menu. BenzNinja will do more custom stuff but his prices are pretty high. BenzNinja will sell you a whole computer and software to do your own programming as well.
