I've tried several queries and for some of them I get a response on the MBUX screen that says words to the effect of 'looking for answer, will notify you later.' After a few minutes I need to go into MBUX and look for a message with the results. Are you kidding me? I'm driving and I'm supposed to get a message later? Please.
That is a first

The peculiar part of it is that, sometimes, the answer is already available in the notifications list while you're finding out that it's going to be available later. There must be an operational limit in MBUX somewhere that creates this issue. Two hypotheses (not that anyone will actually care enough to investigate) - one is that there is a timeout of a few hundred milliseconds that is breached by longer answers (although I usually get responses faster than when I ask MBUX for the weather) and the second is that the answers are too long to be fed back live, so they are pushed to the notifications.
As said, I haven't really bothered to test it, I am just enjoying a less dumb MBUX while it lasts (3-month beta?) and for free (surely it won't be free forever).

I think the response that's "later" requires more time to process and that's why they postpone the verbal response and change it to one that can be accessed when you're ready.

I get these messages with certain questions. I found this method kind of annoying. A better method would be to notify you of its response once ready with a voice or notification prompt of some sort, where I can just say "yes please read the answer". I understand it takes time for ChatGPT to process answers sometimes but having to touch the screen for the answers is somewhat annoying.

Yes, I get the same message but not all the time. Sometimes Mercedes gives me the answer verbally and sometimes I have to click on the nice little message to have Mercedes read me the whole response.
