MBUX 548 vs 549

Hi, my 2020 GLS has MBUX 549 (High) but I just learned that they are still building GLS450s in 2023 with the lower spec MBUX 548 by default (even in fully loaded cars) unless the car has the augmented video option. Hence most of the cars on the lots have the 548 mid version.
I know that the MBUX 549 can be retrofitted by RJAuto but as I plan to lease my new car, I prefer not to make modifications. Also I know there are features that are lost in MBUX 548 (namely video playback and full-screen navigation on the driver panel) but those are features I never used in my 2020 either even though they were available and I don't care much about them. My main concern is the overall user experience in terms of using and moving through the menu options as I use my car day to day. I sat in a car with 548 in dealership and played with it for a few minutes and didn't feel much difference but I'm not sure how that compares with using it day to day for long time and hence my question: Is there anyone here who has had extended experience using both MBUX 548 and 549 systems and did they feel any real-world differences? Is it really noticeably more sluggish with 548? Will it be really a downgrade in user experience if I exchange my current GLS for one with MBUX 548? I appreciate if you could share your experience!
