GLS580 fuel consumption

lifetime 104000 km got 14.2 l per 100 km
One km trip in am, grocery store, 34 l per 100 km
drove 3900 km home when I got the car, 10.2 l per 100 km
three hour trip to camp, 12 l per 100 km
love the car and bought it for the same reasons as you mentioned, had the options I wanted while the 450 did not.
hope that helps

Milage now is 42 287 km with a average consumption of 11,4 l / 100km.
Trip to work is about 35-40 km and I often have a consumption below 10l/100km.
So you can have a really low consumption if you want and plan your driving.

we went from a GLE350 to the GLS580 and have been fairly pleased with the mileage. It is a rather large tank, but in my opinion the fuel efficiency is good for a vehicle of its build.
yes I’m on cruise all of the time, lead foot, cruise saves me from talking to po po.
3900 km trip car was new to me, driving cautiously plus 6 hour snow storm kept my speed down therefore mileage up.
three hour trip, one stop to stretch legs, usually not much traffic but on cruise the whole time,
I generally run 20 km over speed limit. Therefore 75 mph. I would get better mileage at 60 mph but I’ll absorb the difference.
One trip to the camp was 14 l per 100 km but I was loaded so probably another 5 - 700 lbs.
