I traded my 2020 for an ordered 2024. My 2020 had the E-ABC, which truthfully had been a mixed bag as far as the ride goes. So far I think the 2024 is much smoother over bumps, even with 21" wheels compared to the previous 20" wheels. I've noticed no difference in the acceleration. The Catalana Beige interior looks very rich and pairs well with the Twilight Blue. Most of the MBUX programming has changed, but overall seems more intuitive. The touch-sensitive steering wheel buttons will take some getting used to, but they seem okay. The only downsides so far are the loss of the magnetic-access mounts for the iPad holders on the seat backs and the loss of the sunglass holder now that the finicky Interior Assistant is standard. The camera seems upgraded and the wireless CarPlay is a nice addition, although MBUX does most things well. Overall, I'm quite happy with the trade.

Congrats! I wonder if the weight of the E-ABC on your prior GLS made it appreciably heavier such that the throttle response on the new car appears "unchanged"?

Beautiful! Love the twilight blue on the GLS, I didn't care for it on the EQ models I saw...

It's funny you should say that. I felt the same way when I saw an EQS in Twilight after ordering, but I stuck with the decision. I think the gloss black fender trim on the GLS might make a difference. It looks plain on the EQS but seems to pop on the GLS with AMG. It might not work as well on an AMG Night Package or a non-AMG.

The model makes a big difference when deciding if you like a color. I love the non-night trim on yours too, thats the right choice for that color. I even likely would keep the silver grille!

I searched again and couldn't find the option to activate the front camera view at intersections so I think they've indeed removed it.
Also, I believe the interior assistance is standard with the Pinnacle trim and mine doesn't have it (it's the base trim). I don't have the sunglass compartment either.

I think the feature of the camera at intersections is called Traffic Signal Assistance.

How is it possible that these MY24 machines are on the internet for sale and being purchased by customers and they still show as a "future product" on the MBUSA site? Consequently no build and price/configurator is available. I understand the pricing/order guide is out there but holy smokes....let's get the IT dept. at MB spooled up and get with the times!

Agreed, it’s crazy. But it’s never not been this way since the BYO part of the site came online, over 20+ yrs ago, I think. Idiotic and frustrating but unsurprising.

Ya the website team doesn't sync with the other teams like marketing and product management etc.

So it looks like they did remove the camera view when stopped at a traffic light. That plus the much less configurable dashboard makes me give the new MBUX a thumbs down.

Also I got the cooled cupholders as before but now its only in the front and not the back. Plus there is no more storage net in the passenger footwell. No idea if these are shortages or AMG specific or actual changes.

I'm not sure what is less configurable about the dashboard...

it used to be you can change the info in all three sections, now you can only change the info in the middle or go full screen with a few things.
