2y Extended Warranty for 2020 CPO with 13k mileage - Worth it?

New to MB world!

Just got a 2020 GLS450 with 13k mileage on it. The car comes with 1.5 yr warranty (0.5 factory plus 1 yr cpo). I am wondering if it is worth to get a 2 yr extended warranty?

We typically use the car 10k mile per year so after 4 years it will be around 50k miles on it. If I bought a car at 30k-40k miles on it then I would buy the extended warranty without hesitation. But if there were only 50k miles at the end of the warranty, I probably would think about taking the risk.

Any recommendations? Thanks!

Did you get any decent VIN reports (i.e. Carfax, etc.) and understand your car's history? If not, I would probably get the additional 2 yr!

And get it thru Jeff Jackson at Mercedes of Louisville, he is well known for getting many folks the best price.

Thanks for your input. The carfax history shows it is a lease return which has been well maintained.

If the history shows routine service was done at the right times, then it should be ok.
I don't know if this is your first Mercedes but conventional wisdom always states: "owning a German luxury car out of warranty is asking for trouble!".
I'll let you decide how to digest that, LOL!

I did get one when I bought my 2020 in Nov 2022, and would recommend it for piece of mind. It is unlimited mileage and transferable if sold to private party.
I will guess Jeff's price will be $2,500-$3,000, but you need to get it within 30 days of CPO purchase.

You should be able to buy MB's ELW up until the day the original 4yr/50k miles warranty expires.

That is true, but wouldn't it start the day the original warranty expired which would eliminate the CPO warranty?
OP was asking about the 2 yr CPO ELW that starts when the the CPO year expires. That is how mine works. Original warranty went to 2/24, then CPO warranty until 2/25, then CPO ELW to 2/27.
