Easy Entry/Exit Feature resets!

Got the ‘24 GLS450 a couple of months ago and the Easy Entry/exit feature keeps resetting and it’s driving me crazy!! Sometimes the seat and wheel adjust, sometimes not. Anyone else have same/similar issue?

Same issue on my 21' 450. The seat always works, but the dam steering wheel, does whatever it wants. I have a running list of things to bring up to the dealer, next time I go in.

Sometimes issues like this can be attributed to Profiles.

When you set your seat memories, are you using the same profile all the time?

As the GLS is mostly driven by my shorter wife, I find that I have to struggle to get into the seat just to be able to reach the screen to select my profile!
I think my only solution is to access my profile by opening the passenger door first, selecting the profile, and then resetting the seat/wheel!

I much prefer BMW's solution where the seating/wheel adjusts automatically to the keyfob on the driver's side.

That's the VW Porsche Audi group's solution as well. I like it.

What I do with my wife's car, who is also short and I can't enter the car with her settings - is to have the #3 driver's seat memory set to my position. I open the door and hit #3 - then I can enter and select my profile.
A workaround, but it saves my neck.

Yeah, saving a setting under her profile should work!

This is what I do on most of our cars (8in height difference). However, on our 2024, the seat controls have a mind of their own. The buttons on the door don't always work. The different profiles do work fine, but it's a squeeze to reach them, as you say.

Then I had my A1 today and they did a software update. They didn't delete profiles, but something reset and it forced me through the seat configuration wizard again. After putting in my correct height, the seat promptly proceeded to move to its highest and most forward position. I got squeezed like a lemon. Not fun.

No idea what tomorrow will bring.

I got squashed with the auto seat setting by height, and I only used that one time. I was hoping to get an approximate starting point but but I thought I did better on my own.

That was on my official profile with the Mercedes me symbol superimposed on the profile.

I think I made too many assumptions and wrong settings when I was learning the car (incl RTFM), so I just made another profile with another photo, with no Mercedes me icon, that I use now.

I disabled the height setting this time, because I think It kind of pays attention to where you're sitting and sometimes wants to intervene.
(I doubt that that's really the case, because that would sound like a conspiracy, and I hope cars aren't at the level of sophistication to conspire....)

Easy Entry/Exit keeps turning off by itself.

I bought the 2024 Mercedes gls450. My Mercedes dealer can't figure out why, after I activate the Easy entry/Easy exit feature and drive the car, the next day, I find that the car has turned it off. It's super aggravating!! How do you fix this?

Ours too, happened at some point of an update I guess. We have two profiles, wife and me. My profile never remembers the seat position, and the hvac “sync” never turns back on by default. Just another example of making something simple more complicated than it needs to be and charging you $5k for it. My solution was to set my seat position to Memory #2 under my wife’s profile and just delete my profile. Only one profile now. Life’s too damn short to waste on such a stupid thing!

And yet we get charged for "Personalization" on the Mercedes Me app! I wish Mercedes would tie the driver profile to the specific keyfob (makes no sense to pay money for what is essentially a broken system)!

I concur. We have a 24 GLE350 and I'm tall, wife is short, and I have to contort myself to get in and sign into my profile to get the seat to move back. Would be nice if key fobs were coded and would move settings when opening the door or if the memory buttons on door could be selected before entry.

I agree that I'd prefer that the key identify me as the driver, but I don't have any trouble of getting in without changing profiles.

We don't use profiles. I just open the door, press this memory setting 1, Wait until it adjusts and then get in.
When she drives, she opens the door pushes 2 and gets in.

Third dealer visit to fix Easy entry/Easy exit

Today was my dealer's third look at repairing the Easy entry/Easy exit feature on my 2024 Mercedes 450gls. The technician believed that all THREE drivers of my car must have this feature TURNED ON, in their profiles, in order to keep this feature on. The technician went to each of our profiles and individual PINs and turned Easy entry/Easy exit on. This way, a different profile won't undo the feature. Hopefully, this is the solution.

You have about a year after purchase to decide whether or not you want to pay for the privilege to confuse the car!

I thought the reasoning behind the car not defaulting to the easy entry/exit was to prevent it from setting down into something flammable, like a pile of leaves after a long drive?

Sounds like you're talking about suspension lowering automatically on park.

I think OP is talking about the steering wheel lifting up and out of way and driver's seat moving back.

3rd try at dealer for Easy entry/Easy exit

On my third appointment at Mercedes dealer for correcting Easy entryEasy exit, technician set all my car's drivers' profiles to use Easy entry/Easy exit. All were turned on. The next morning, I started the car and ALL EASY ENTRY/ EASY EXIT FEATURE WAS TURNED OFF. Mercedes needs more competent software programers to fix MBUX problems. Nobody can make this feature stay on! What a waste of time and money on this expensive car!!

7/13/2024:
This solution DID NOT WORK! The MBUX system had turned it off by the next morning. The service technicians DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX EASY ENTRY/EASY EXIT from resetting itself. There are no bragging rights to owning a Mercedes without Mercedes having competent software programmers to fix MBUX problems.

As of 8/24/2024,Mercedes still can't repair the problem of the 2024 450gls mbux Entry

Mercedes headquarters only answer to fixing EASY ENTRY, EASY EXIT was to take it to another dealer!! There's nothing special about owning a Mercedes that has technical problems that the brains that created the features can't fix what they created. I'm finished with Mercedes!

I am having the same issue. Wife short and in her profile the easy exit does not move back much. So when i climb in i gave to manually move the seat back.
The key fob coded to different profiles is so much convenient even in entry level cars. MBUSA does not seem yo have a solution for this

Exactly the reason we use only one profile, with car seating position #1 saved to the Mrs, and my settings saved to #2. Probably is that I have to manually press #2 as I enter the car, but it's not my daily anyway so works fine for me. Am still impressed by Tesla, which automatically sees our phones, and can even recognize which phone is likely to be the driver depending on where the phone is (perhaps the one closer to the driver's door), and sets the profile and all other settings to that person even when we are both entering the car at the same time.
