OTA Update
Hi, a couple of weeks ago (early May 2024) my wife told me her 2022 GLS 450 prompted her to okay a software update. She followed the prompts and everything seems to have updated properly. Does anyone know what was updated? Sounded cool and wish I was there to see it!

Likely the map update for your home area. The map on my 2020 was updated over the air on 5/15.

I had the light coding done a few years ago. Had a bunch of updates since and none has wiped out the the functionality, but somewhere along the line I did lose the menu item to turn them on or off. They will recode for you if you want, but I'll probably only do so when I go to sell or something....

Just as an aside, I'm in Tennessee, so the over the air update is only for Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. This does not help me as I rarely travel north. In December 2022 after purchasing the vehicle I downloaded other maps to a thumb drive and installed them in the vehicle, in a very easy process. The past few days I have been trying to do that again, but get the message on the website that "The service is unavailable for technical reasons." I called Mercedes me connect yesterday, and the issue was upgraded to another team for resolution.
