Yeah, all that's missing in the lettering which I didn't care about. I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out though and the experience overall. The only thing that sucked was having to wait for them to come over on a ship but I ordered them with enough lead time to make sure they got here before the weather turned. The guy was also a pleasure to deal with, they were packed extremely well, caps were also included and I got to pick the finish that I wanted. I was considering getting my 23's refinished but I may just buy another set from him and sell my black ones. But these guys can make any wheel you want if you can get them the specs.

Just one other thing I wanted to add to these tire threads... buy used tires for these cars. Seriously. You guys are just pissing money into the wind buying new. Especially if you have any type of warranty like MB first class wheel and tire. (2) 315/40/21 and (2) 275/45/21 Pirelli Scorpion MO A/S with 9/32 left cost me $370 dropped off on my porch. For those of you not great at the maths, that is 4 tires for less than 1 brand new. eBay eBay eBay

Tell me more. Did your 2024 GLS580 come from the factory this way, with the 21" AMG wheels like they had in 20-23 model years? Is there a custom order option from MBUSA? Thank you.

This is exactly what I'm trying to find for my 2024 GLS (21" wheels with winter tires to swap out twice a year). Do you have any more info re: whom to contact to get the process started? I checked out the link above, but I wasn't sure where to start. (Also, I tried to send you a private message, but I don't see it as an option...maybe because I just joined and haven't posted yet?)

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I don't know the private messaging rules around here, I've never sent one nor received one. The guy's Americanized name is "Jason", I have his whatsapp but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post that in there or not, maybe someone can chime in on that.

Anyway, I started by just sending them a quick email telling them that I was looking for a 21" 5 spoke AMG style wheel with a photo and the specs of the wheel. We went back and forth a bit to confirm the the specs and the style and the finish I wanted, I wired him the money and that was really all there was to it.

MBUSA used to have "custom codes" back in the day for higher end cars that were not published. For example, when I ordered my '21 S580 and GLS580 I was able to alter the headliner color, add a colored seatbelt, a dashcam, Illuminated MB Star, change the grill, and other minor things. Some were in the DOG, others were not...you just had to know the right people so to speak. Not a lazy *** at the dealership, a real car enthusiast.

Today - that ship has sailed. I asked two dealers in person if I can have the 21" AMG wheel added to a new GLS580 order through NetStar and they showed me it is not possible. What a joke for people in colder climates. It would be so easy for MBUSA to just allow an option for 21" AMG wheels like they do on the 450. Poor decision making IMO. It is making the housewives dangerous that are rolling around on 22" three season tires that have no clue and they lost a sale from me, just 1 sale.

MBUSA - BRING BACK THE 21" AMG WHEEL NOW!

Or... you could spend $412 + freight to get basically the same wheel, buy a set of tires and sensors and have the car you want and the wheels you want.

This is a super dramatic overreaction IMO. You can get replica wheels, you can source OEM wheels from eBay, you can procure wheels from junk yards, private third parties, etc etc. Acting like Mercedes is destroying your dreams because of a stupid wheel you can get 11 other places new, used or otherwise is ridiculous to be completely honest. This is a problem that is easily solvable as I have just demonstrated.

At the very least let the buyer select AS tires instead of summer, or have them on hand to sell them with the car.

For sure.
I have had my dealer swap tires in order to sell me the car. They bought new tires / wheels and put the takeoffs into the parts department.
Two different dealers.

Sorry, one more question. I've gone back and forth with Jason, and he has my wheels in stock (exact same style and specs as yours, but black instead of grey). Two of the specs he sent me are slightly different from the ones I sent (his wheels are listed with a 66.5 center bore, not 66.6; his front wheel offsets are 45 instead of 44). Looking at the pictures you posted, specifically of the shipment boxes, it looks like those are the specs on the wheels he sent you. I assume these are negligible differences, but just wanted to double-check that everything fit perfectly on yours (specifically the center bore, as I know the offset difference won't be noticeable). If so I'm going to pull the trigger on these.

Oh, also, did you just re-use your original lug bolts? Or do I need new ones for these wheels?

Sorry, I had to go back and reread our pages of conversations to find this. It looks like the specs I had were ones I found on my own and the specs I received were what he got after I gave him my VIN. So, I would trust what he is telling you if they match my boxes. I've rolled them about 1000 miles at this point through two light snows and probably 20 car washes and I still couldn't be happier. No issues whatsoever.

I just reused my lugs and locks. You are gonna need to buy a second set of TPMS sensors though if you don't plan on unmounting your current wheels. Here are the ones I got off eBay. You might be able to find them cheaper but I didn't feel like shopping around https://www.ebay.com/itm/27489182654...mis&media=COPY

A car wash every 50 miles on average? Not judging but just wondering if your garage has a built-in automated car wash? 😜

Lol. I wish I had one at home, but that would take the fun out of these kids trying to guide me in and get these massive rear wheels inside the track instead of on top of it.

I have an unlimited wash subscription for $30 a month and I pass it leaving home and coming back. So, I'll typically get my car washed every day that it's not wet or actively raining or snowing. I probably clear 450 car washes a year easily between both cars.

That's a bargain, and great to rinse off all that corrosive salt.

Yeah, everyone around has moved to offering a subscription model. My place has a good $25, better $30 and best for $35. It still cracks me up when I see people in front of me paying $7, 9 or 13 for one wash.

I hear that a lot though and it is kind of ridiculous if I'm being honest, I could easily skip a few days. But I just hate having a dirty car, then it can get your clothes dirty and your hands dirty and your garage dirty. I'd rather just leave all that crap there instead of having mud and slush over everything.
