The glossy black trim of the front bumper on the right side seems to be a magnet for scratches in my GLS. Here is how it looked after a year at the hands of valets and careless drivers in parking lots:
I first cleaned the area to remove as much dirt and paint transfer as possible but there were very deep scratches and large areas with the glossy finish completely gone. Then I used

Meguiar's Ultimate Compound is great, but I would have followed up with the Meguiar's Ultimate "Polish". The compound is pretty aggressive, and if it was a larger area, it would have been more obvious that you needed to follow up with the "polish" step. For a small area like that angled mostly downwards, I think it works just fine with the "compound" step only : )
