Bumper scratch removal
I first cleaned the area to remove as much dirt and paint transfer as possible but there were very deep scratches and large areas with the glossy finish completely gone. Then I used with a medium-cut 1" sponge pad from a cheap polishing kit (I got which comes with 1" disks) attached to a cordless drill/driver. I was able to get rid of the scratches and restore the piano black finish in a few minutes:

Meguiar's Ultimate Compound is great, but I would have followed up with the Meguiar's Ultimate "Polish". The compound is pretty aggressive, and if it was a larger area, it would have been more obvious that you needed to follow up with the "polish" step. For a small area like that angled mostly downwards, I think it works just fine with the "compound" step only : )
