24 GLS450 Major A/C Issues, Is this normal??

So to make a very long story short I bought a 2024 GLS450 last July and within a week I was having these strange a/c issues where the front center vents completely stop blowing air. I took it into the dealer I bought it from (which isn't my usual dealer), and they said no problems, no codes, cars perfect! Okay, I didn't think much because I figured I'd take it to my local dealership I usually go to and have them figure it out since I have a long history with them.

I took it to them last summer and they said the same thing. No codes but there is a computer update for a/c so they did that and said that should fix it. It seemed to work for maybe a couple weeks but then the issue was back so I took it back to the dealership with the same issue and a bunch of other random issues I think are related to the computers or electronics.
Same answer which was, No codes means no fixes.

So here we are after 2 MORE TRIPS to the dealership for the a/c issue and again, they tell me there are no codes in the car so there will be no fixing anything. I have dozens of videos of this weird issue and I have sent them to the dealership and my advisor and they told me the technicians and the foreman said this is normal functions and unless a code pops up, they can't do anything and even wrote on my paperwork that my car functions perfectly.

Is anyone experiencing this same issue?

YouTube links of examples

The other reccuring issues I've been having is rain sensing wipers don't sense any water but randomly go off during drive on sunny days, Random viloent shaking or jolt of the engine while sitting in park idleing with auto on/off turned off.

Check the settings on the rear seat air conditioning and the sync button. I had an issue where I could not get any cold air out of the front vents and found that the temperature in the rear seats was set very high and that this overrode the front controls so that no cold air would come out the front. Maybe your problem is related to this. I also took my car to the dealer to have the air-conditioning checked and they told me everything was perfect.

I don't know about MY24 and newer but at least on my MY23 GLS450 build sheet, it had "913 Air conditioning preinstallation for hot countries". If this is missing, could the compressor power be less?

Is there a way to see the build sheet online?

Thank you for that site. Checked my VIN and I do not have the 913 code but I do have "824A/C packages for cold countries"

That sucks! I do have 824 as well on my build sheet.

They must have downgraded the compressor capability w/the refresh!

Honestly this “refresh” is awful! I like the look but at least in my experience I have never taken a brand new car into service so many times for so many different issues from any manufacturer but definitely not MB. This is my 3rd GLS and it is has the most fickle electronics of any of them, but this ac issue is just too hard to deal with in the southern Ca heat and just doesn’t seem normal!

Is it safe to say that you don't have the "582 5-Zone Climate Control" either?

Same thing happened to me on my 20 GLS. I was about to take it to the dealer for this issue when I went through the menu on the multimedia system and discovered the high rear temp setting.

High rear temp? Is that just the menu for the second row seats? Most of the time the air is off in the second row since my kids don't like it if that makes a difference. I also always have sync turned off.

With your issue were you still getting air out of the far right and left vents but nothing out of the center four?

I had a similar issue, but mine was because it was very hot in Texas and the rear AC's were set very cold. The programming prioritizes the cold air to the rear and sacrifices flow to the front vents if needed. I was told the AC case is also a failure point, but mine was fine.

That is so strange! We haven’t had any crazy heat and if the second row air is on, it’s set to around 72ish because my kids don’t like it too cold . Were you able to find a fix for your car or does it continue to happen if the backseat air is on? I also have a 2017GLS that has been so good we couldn’t part with it. None of these issues on that one!

I just occasionally check the rear temp setting to see if my kids have messed with it. I haven't had a problem since.

I don't have a 3rd row air option. Wonder if this matters?
