24/25 GLS Owners HELP!
Please let me know if this is normal. Ever since purchasing my GLS, the front 4 vents would randomly stop all airflow. Never on auto, and the rear a/c is sometimes on and sometimes off. No rhyme or reason to when it will happen other than when its hot here in southern CA. 5 service visits later and major frustration, the dealership has now stated that MB techs in germany have let them know my car works perfectly and its working as designed. This is normal for ALL GLS 24/25. They designed it to randomly stop all air flow without any changes to the system, but if you change the settings.. the air will again flow as it should. Before I loose it on MB for designing such a POS, tell me. Have you all experienced this? Since they are saying its normal and as designed, we should all experience this. Let me add that every GLE loaner I've driven has not displayed any of these issues and the other 3 GLS's I've purchased also have never experienced this. Here is a video showing my issues.

I'm not a GLS owner but have a 2025 E53 and had the same behavior on my AC. Front left center vent would stop blowing but the other ones will continue. I change a setting and that vent will then turn on. Sometimes the vent works just fine with no settings touched after turning on the car. Not sure if it's designed that way or what, but so far not a big enough deal for me to take it to the dealer and have them take everything apart.

Sadly my dealer will not take anything apart to do any sort of diagnosis without a code and this car has shown zero codes for any of my issues. With all front four vents doing this on hot days, it’s a major issue but I have no recourse now that Germany is saying the car is designed to work this way according to the service manager at my dealership. So I’m hoping some other owners of 24/25 GLS will let me know if they are all experiencing this.

The sun sensor on the car can affect vents, air distribution and blower speed.
Is there a correlation with sun shining on the dash?
Why don't you use "Auto?"

Well possibly because I’m only using the a/c on hot days but it also happened when I brought the car into the dealer under their big canopy and it was still exhibiting the problem. It also doesn’t do it to the front side left and right vents, only the center.

Sadly the dealership is telling me that MB in Germany is completely gate keeping them. They said MB corporate is saying this is working fine and as designed and they WILL NOT authorize any repairs or further diagnosing outside of booking it up to the computer. I’ve contact MB corporate over a dozen times with zero responses. I have to now go the legal route but I wanted to first see if what they said it true and this is just a complete failure on design and in fact everyone who also purchased a 24/25 GLS experiences this as well!

Been down this road with my current BMW. I have a huge issue with my i5. It sometimes doesn't charge in the time slot mode. It starts and starts and blows up my phone with notifications of just that. The worst part is sometimes I wake up and it hasn't charged, kind of leaving me stranded. Also have many CarPlay issues and connectivity issues. I spoke to a well known Lemon Law attorney who tried to advise me on how to "word" my complaint, but BMW has tutored their SA's on how to properly word the complaint. He wound up telling me clearly I have issues but it will be hard to prove in a case and refused to take it any further. It seems the attorneys only want slam dunks, since hi s business model is he only gets paid if I win. Cant say I blame him, and since it's a leas I will keep it, only 17 more months to go, which sucks. Anyway I would request to have a specialist come look at it. I hope for your sake it's a lease.
