C63 AMG Arctic w/ Stage 1 Tune, DoubleXX pipe, MCD-631X coming soon
*****C63 single fin group buy is HERE*****
Ok, we're going to have to get this locking in now and transfer money overseas.
We can have these grills by Mid Feb. if we can send money today, however, we are going to commit to a 100pcs, and take 50pcs immediately, then we will have 60 days to pay for and take delivery of the next 50pcs. We don't mind stocking 25pcs initially, but we have to get at least 25ppl to put a down payment to lock in.
So..Here are the preliminaries:
Price $295.00 (black/chrome)
Price $325.00 (all black)
shipping $15.00 anywhere in the Con. USA (will vary outside of the cont. USA)
Deposit required: 50% up front and 50% when we are ready to ship.
Payments can be made via credit card by call us at 714-447-1697
or PayPal Sales@gtpro.com
Check by mail, must clear before product ships.
Now, bear in mind..We need your deposits in quickly, the longer you procrastinate, the further back the delivery date will be, and no one (my self included) don't want to wait any longer than necessary.

Uhm, I'm still interested, and please don't be offended by this, but is there any chance you have a picture that's not photoshopped together? I'm a little reluctant to pony up without seeing an actual sample after buying one off ebay that didn't fit. Also, the bar looks like it gets kind of wide as it goes from front to back, which I'm not especially psyched about. If is hasn't gone to mold yet can you change it to make it a little sleeker like the SL or SLS bars? And lastly, what kind of plastic are they using that it can be powdercoated? Wouldn't it melt? I'd rather just have mine without the plating so I could clear it and buff it. Or are they going to use an OE star and bars that are already plated?
I guess I'm on the fence right now after seeing the edited pic. Sorry.

Sorry Josh, no offence taken, but there is no way that we are going to actually build one, as you may or may not know, this is going to be injection molded, which no one here would really know this, is a HUGE ordeal, it's not like making a fiberglass piece. in order to get an actual item would require tooling.. (Josh you know about tooling right???)
We modeled this off of what you guys wanted/requested, which was the E-bay grill, but with the stock star used, and the contour, tabs etc to fit the C63 properly. I told you all that the e-bay grill did not fit, not even by a mile...Obviously, not a mistake I'm going to make with all the time/energy invested..
and I will second this by no offence to you, but...by and large, this is not looking good anyhow, so this might be a moot point Josh. If you want to take this task on, I will pass my contacts over to you, so you can make the grill what you envision it to be, and absorb the costs involved, and see if the guys are game to jump on with it, at this point if no one is willing to go with what I posted up, no problem, I will kill it, and take the loss, but I do need to know NOW, before they start CNC'ing the molds.

I had just gotten the impression that there was already a sample part (which would have been AWESOME)... Me and my overly optimistic mind.
Anyway, can we nail down the aesthetic of the bars? I like the star size and the overall use of the factory mesh, but I'd like to know about the bars. I don't think they should expand from front to rear as much as the picture suggests. If you can sort that out I know you'll sell a ton of them.
Thanks,
Josh

I'm in also, although it will be a long time before I put this grill on...I like the OE grill just fine. One thing I will say though...any of you who have done anything like this (count me in that group on the BMW side) will most likely vouch that no reasonable amount of money can repay one's level of effort in bringing it to fruition. I'm sure Brian's time already expended is worth far more per hour than he will recoup in "profit," never mind how much further effort will be forthcoming. Regardless of whether I ever put this grill on I'm passing along my thanks for even taking this project on.

Agreed...I have the same thing going on, up on another site. It's a lot of work organizing something like this. I designed and fabbed up a hood, and a company is making them out of CF for me, as well as others who wanted in. it arrives by the end of this month cant wait. (Not Merc related)

Which pic are you refering to....the C63 Wagon???
The grill that Brian is creating is a completely custom piece so i don't think there are any actual pics on a car as of yet

We are also investigating the option of making it look more like the SL65 BS grill, stay tuned.
