Are you taking the money and using it to purchase these from a manufacturer, causing us to wait 6-8 weeks? If so, I'm still interested, but not for a pre-order, pre orders are lame.

No ..... we are looking to see if there is still anyone interested in getting these before we go ahead and have them made we are coming out of pocket.All we ask is that if you are interested that you put a $500.00 deposit
Unfortunately we are not one of these small time company's that is gone take your money and run we are just seeing if any one is still interested
It is 6-8weeks wait to have them made.Once they are ready to be shipped You then will be billed for the remaining balance

Looks exactly like the VRP kit, which IIRC was made by Carbonio (who makes many of the CF intakes on the market, for various tuners/makes/models). Not meant as a knock against EC, as no tuner I'm aware of, that is even moderately big, is going to make their own CF parts in house. In the end, it's a product offered by a well-respected vendor for a nice GB price.
loungn14 - any interest in a similar one for the 32s? Or is there likely not enough product demand?

not enough demand (mold cost is through the roof), we are hoping just with the E crowd it would be worth the investment. Now with me getting the E55 I was like I need this. So we figured to get a group buy and get everyones costs down.

LOVE the 55. Would never go back! We will have pics up within a few weeks or so, just got her tinted, carbon lip n diffuser, and HRE's should be here soon!
Yes it does, we have seen approx 16-18hp gain.

your price for the complete cl55 (cover,intake and tube) at $2500 for a group but is kinda high dont you think. i got a quote from the same maker of the product today for almost a few hundred dollars cheaper and it wasnt a group buy.
