FS: W209 Black Leather Steering Wheel / Mercedes SL R230 CLK
I am selling a New Black leather steering wheel that will fit all CLK W209 and SL R230's. This is a bargain if You want to swap your worn out wheel with this new one for just a fraction of the dealer price. This is a genuine, factory new Mercedes-Benz part, not a replica. I have sold quite a few items on this forum before and never had any issues.
The part number is: A 230 460 05 03
The steering wheel was made in March 2005 according to the signs on the steering wheel.
Asking 50 plus shipping.

1st thing you will want to do is unplug the negative terminal on the battery so that you will not have any issues with the airbag. Then it only takes 4 hex bolts that must be removed from the rear of the steering wheel. If you look at the back of your steering wheel you will see it has 4 deep holes on the back. This is where you would stick the hex key (I cant remember the exact size, but can check on my 208) and take the bolts out. This will allow you to remove the airbag, you will have to unplug one or two sets of wires and then the airbag will be done.
Then you will have to take out the center nut that actually hold the steering wheel to the steering rack. After that bolt is out it will be easy to pull the steering wheel off with little to no force. Then you just put the new steering wheel back into the same position as the old one, re-attach the nut to secure the steering wheel.
Then you can connect the airbag plugs and place the airbag onto the new steering wheel. Now you are ready to replace the 4 hex screws from the back of the steering wheel..and you are done!

Just checked with FEDEX and it will be abut 16 bucks to ship to most parts in the US.
I have one buyer but I am just waiting on his payment so for now I just thought I would let everyone else know about the shipping in case the sell falls through.
