Anybody investing in medical or recreational marijuana based stocks? Don't laugh. I used to joke about how easy it was to get a medical pot card in LA when I lived out there. If you had headaches, backaches, bunions or herpes, you might qualify. Mind you, I make my living with my mind and did not desire to fog it with cannabis. However, two years ago, I had a back injury and was undergoing 9 weeks of intense chiropractic therapy. It hurt so bad, I had to stop the car twice on my commute home every day. I did not want to go down the route of oxycodone and the hillbilly heroine epidemic so I began to research oral & topical CBD oil treatments. I have found it to be amazing and 50 state legal. Helps with back pains and arthritis in my knees, and hands. No visible side effects and I understand that the versions laced with THC are even more viable. Can still pass a tox screen with the 50 state CBD too. It made a believer out of me. I have started investing in a few tech stocks who have products based on hemp, CBD or Marijuana. Some of the stocks I like are:
MJNA - Medical Marijuana Inc. Owner of Dixie Dew Drops, the best CBD oil products I have ever tried.
BLOZF - Cannabix Technologies Inc.
TWMJF - Canopy Growth Corp.
All of these are real firms with real products and cash flow. I am sure there are myriad others. Anybody know of well managed firms with great products in this industry? I think it is going to grow for many more years.
Pain reliever? If so, CBD oil is the best option. It helped me a lot while painful period after my surgery... I was looking for something powerful, because my pain was terrible. I’ve tried Kratom as well, but only cbd became the most convenient for me. If you are interested in legalization, in depends on the state you live in, the biggest part of them allows the usage of it. Related to safety, it is used also for cats to relieve pain, so I guess it is enough to understand that it’s safe one. I used it firstly on my cat, so it is really very convenient for them as well, I used the best cbd oil for cats as well. It really works! Hope it will help you!

I FOMOed myself with Tilray last year when it looked liked like they might legalize at federal level or at least pass the safe banking part. Really ticked me off when Biden -- whose 1994 crime bill specifically targeted pot smokers -- said he'd release all the people in federal prison for simple possession. Thing is that's literally no one as possession is a state level crime. Having not learned my lesson I then did it again with MindMed (medical LSD) when the 20 year old kid who made 100 million off Bed Bath and Beyond (Jake Freeman) started buying it. Of course, right after I loaded the boat they did a reverse split and then issued new shares. I'm still holding that one but am down something like 75%. Some people just never learn. D'oh!

I'm back in TLRY @ $1.76 because you can't fix stoopid. Seriously though, these guys are the Tesla of weed and price to book ratio is now less than .5 (stoopid cheap).

Here I go again on my own
Going down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time

I averaged down my original $1.76 entry to ~$1.60 and built a sizeable position. Then added some at $1.95 when it pulled back from some profit taking following first run over $2. Looked like it formed a nice base at $2.50 so added again. When that support failed bought more at $2.35 which was my last add. Unless it looks like they're going to decriminalize at federal level (highly unlikely IMHO) I'm going to have to stick with my original plan and only buy ~5% more. If it looks like by some election season miracle they really will legalize though I'm definitely going overweight... that'd make it a rocket ride to da moon fer sure.
Price to book is still just .56 according to Yahoo. I might sell at $5. We'll see!

I was in a lot of pain before and immediately after my cancer surgery last year and popped a lot of pills to cope with it. Thanks to legal medical cannabis here in Texas though, I still have a couple of unfinished bottles of opioid pain killers in my cupboard. I'm saving them for my next root canal since dentists wont prescribe them anymore.
As for investing in recreational cannabis, I think state and local governments have over-taxed it. And everything the federal government has done recently is too little and too late. I'm out and staying out.
I’ve been keeping an eye on this space. The industry’s blowing up, and it feels like there’s still a ton of room to grow.
Besides, a while back, I started using CBD for my back pain and arthritis, and it’s been a lifesaver. I didn’t want to mess with painkillers, so I gave it a shot. Then I tried THC gummies, and they worked even better for those bad pain days. They just take the edge off without making me feel too out of it.

It will be hard for the government to compete with illegal marijuana. They really don’t know how to efficiently market anything.

I agree, it'll be hard for the government-run rackets to compete with free-market cannabis. They might have to terrorize people with threats of imprisonment to get them to participate in their over-taxation scheme.

Tiray is showing some real strength here (unlike ChargePoint). Added more right at $1. Who knows, maybe Trump will legalize it after two Democratic presidents who smoked it (Clinton and Obama) did nothing about the war being waged against U.S. citizens by their own government. This thing would go to $10 in a week if that happened.

Aww, I think I need to go to day trader anonymous meetings. I swore I was going to try paying long-term capital gains tax for the first time in my life but 20% in one day was just too much to resist. I'm out @ $1.20

It's a long shot though so bet accordingly.
He didn’t inhale. He got the idea about not inhaling from the movie “ Waiting to Exhale” starring Whitney Houston. It will be the inspiration for the biographical movie “Waiting to Inhale” about the life and crimes of Bill Clinnochio and his battle axe Hillary Rodham.

That ain't even the half of it! As a governor Clinton protected cocaine runs to a secret air strip in Arkansas and a lot of that went up George Dubya's nose but anywhosies... laws are for us little people, not fugitives from international justice like Benjamin Netanyahu who can move around our country freely. I just couldn't help bust out laughing when Trump tried to explain "lawfare" to the most imprisoned population of people on the planet though.
I almost bought back the shares I sold at close today but I see no reason why it won't go back to a buck tomorrow so guess I'm going to wait a little longer.
Shameless plug here but I am a long time cannabis industry expert currently building a large facility in MD, one of the best markets in the country. Previously I was Sr Vp of Cultivation / Vp Processing at a Tiered License I built for the licensee. Profitable from Day One and low COGS for the seven years I was there.
Currently in a raise....a large equity/debt raise with potentially great benefits...real estate, facilities, high IRR, exit.
Feel free to DM me for a chat
For the stocks, There are a few ways to judge the long term viability of some of these companies. Whether it be production space, distribution chain (dispensary ownership), or operational efficiency, the real profitability is in cultivation. In the US, under 280e tax rules, the allowances for production are above 90% while dispensaries is only about 20%. The bet on this Administration on fixing some banking and tax rules is a long shot at best but with their unpredictable nature, could happen. Rescheduling will only help those companies in a medicalized business model and those ready to meet cGMP standards. Descheduling will allow more opportunity for the average business. Its my experience that MSO companies have a very difficult time meeting strict standards as well as true profitability. They are often truly hedging on the future vs operating efficiently today. They are spread thin, and often just planting flags. So you need to bet on operators that have the whole distribution chain but are not supporting their processing and dispensaries with their cultivation. Some of these big organizations even do trade deals with each other to prop up their numbers... As a single investor, cultivation is where to park the money, and only one of the other licenses if that licensee also has cultivation.
Its an interesting business to say the least. The rules are strict, the people are odd, and you are mixing all types of industries together. People that are not familiar with a startup do not realize the difficulty in creating every rule and process and then reinforcing them and adapting by the day as the laws and rules change. Many people cant adapt to the reality that cultivation is very physically demanding, highly scientific, and when run correctly very similar to the conveyor belt of truffles that Lucy and Ethel experienced. The manufacturing side needs dedicated operators incentivized to run the machines at full capacity and companies dont do that so there throughput can be pretty abysmal. Personally I plan for the commodity pricing and build to the scale allowable for my license type, which can grow to be one of the largest allowable single license facilities in the country due to MDs laws.
In regards to Tilray, hindsite is 20/20 because I once had the opportunity to go meet them and work with them a long time ago before they blew up. I could not take the gamble in that Obama was still allowing the federal raids in Norcal at that time. Same with GTI, could have likely ran their production, having been family friend to one of the people that brought them to the index. Ive watched many grow and exit or fail to grow at all. Now I have the opportunity to do what Ive been planning for more than 20 years. Really do hit me up if you would like to chat or are interested in the space.

I have a hard time holding onto an investment for 24 hours so not for me but I wish you the best of luck nonetheless. I was living in San Fran when Obama was prez and remember those raids... and after he promised change and had campaign posters of him wearing a funny hat with a joint in his mouth. Felt like we got fooled yet again by another two-faced politician. Same ole, same ole.
I'm sure RFK Jr and Elon are for legalization but with Pam Bondi running the Department of Injustice I don't think that'll happen.

Aurora Cannabis ACB just keeps going up! Like they say, a rising tide lifts all boats... I probably paid too much but I'm back in Tilray @ $1.06
BTW, I was so ticked at con man Barry Obama I moved from San Fran to Ensenada during his first term and didn't come back to the USA until 2013. It was so nice missing an entire campaign season. I honestly don't even know who he ran against for reelection. I'd have to google it.
