C230 Sports Coupe
a BMW 325 coupe, was this a kill?
0-70 with a BMW 325i coupe. Not sure if it was an auto or stick but i had him by 1.5 cars at 70, i couldnt tell if he was gaining anymore of not, but it was a 35MPH zone so i slowwed down. he didnt come flying by me either after i let off. He was quick off the line which made me think it was a stick but it quickly "bogged" down after the initial take-off. But then he picked up the pace again, i just kept it floored. I cant wait to challange a 330 after I get my pulley and chip!

was it a E36 or E46 325 coupe....a stick 325CI is around the same time as the stick C230k coupe, but the auto 325CI i believe it is a little faster than the auto C-coupe.
from the description that could've been a guy who don't know how to drive stick shift (not like i know how
) or he wasn't trying.

it was a new one E46? . I did get him off the line though, thats where i think i won the race.

FYI:
the factory figures for the new E465 325i and Ci are 7.1 for the manual and 8.1 for the auto.
you could probably net a 6.9 with the manual if you really abused the clutch (as in a 4000rpm drop), and I can assure you that there ain't much you can do to put the auto sub-8s without engine mods.
it sounds like a well-launched automatic... 2-foot start then it bogs and you can't do jack about it. good kill either way!
for comparisons sake, the "coupe" runs a 7.2 and 7.5 IIRC, so stick-v-sitck is a drivers race, and the MB auto should trash the auto bimmer. a poorly driven manual bimmer will loose badly to either MB.
