Thisssss close to the dream matchup..M5 vs E55
He drives past me....jet black with tricked wheels. Younger guy so I am like, THIS IS IT MAN...finally.
He knows I have pulled onto the street and he pulls over so I can lineup next to him at the redlight. Heart is pounding now....this is not gonna be some easy kill...if he has mods too, I could be the kill if I blow the launch.
Suddenly, he backs up, yes backs up, then drives behind me and pulls off to the right down another street.
Just didn't wanna play, musta been busy.
So close, yet so far to the dream match up.
Sigh....someday.

My someday was today...........
Came off the beltway with a M5 behind me(not sure he wanted to mess with the E55 AMG on the trunk or the FAST4DR plate) and when I was at the light I was in the middle with the M5 to the right and a M3 Cabrio pulled up to the left. Could not believe that I had 2 M cars on either side, I thought I died and went to heaven. I was being sandwiched by the BMW M boys until the light changed. I was not sure if any of these guys wanted to mess with the "beast"! Once the light changed I took it easy and noticed they both hit the gas and pulled slightly on me, I then opened her up and left them both wondering what just happen. I just walked away from both of them with the M5 slightly ahead of the M3.
I am waiting for a new M5 to roll up next to me for some real fun!

Am I missing something? I thought that the only M5 currently available is the 400 HP one (which is obviously outmatched by the current E55). Hell, I toast the current M5 in my modded C32.

Yeah, no M5 in the US yet. BMW fans are too frustrated having their dream car pounded by the AMGs in the past 3 years, hence got over excited defending their yet-to-arrive 'new king' before reading too carefully.
In the mean time, I'm saving up for that 997 turbo.

No chance on a open road or on a winding road.
We ARE going to have to wait a year or so though as I hear she is coming out next summer/fall. In that time, yes there may be a few M5 kills of the old W211 stock cars, but it won't be "no chance" encounters and will be "by a nose" if at all.
Corners are even going to start getting at least a little more even as the new CLS handling setup, which is based of the E body, is already getting great reviews and it is only going to get better. Ever beat the M5 in twisters.....nah, but I personally don't give a *****. Let me remind some people the new 6.3 that was unveiled is the motor that will be going into the M class...again, THE M Class. We could very well see more HP in the car classes.

E60 M5 boys unfortunatley will still be getting smoked by me from the line to top end. In the curves, a E55 that is lowered and on 19's w/LSD will hold its own
I am sure Jackpro1 and I will make any new M5 owner very frustrated and confused if they line up next to us.

The current M5 is would be a much better kill, IF can pull it off.
Have no clue what the Klemann Stage 2 put out but I guess it enough to run away from the current M5.
