CLS55 vs 360 & 355 Ferrari

CLS55 vs 360 & 355 Ferrari
Since I have been keeping up with my friends F430 it's not much news beating the last two ferrari models but I did have fun doing so when leaving the calabasas car show Sunday. Fun stuff. I noticed with ferraris, at higher speeds the performace gap seems to close a bit with my CLS. But off the line and up to around 80mph it's not even close. I'm itching to upgrade to a K2 or K3 mod but I'll probably have to loose a few races for more motivation.

Didn't write that one up. It's a friends car and we ran a few times. He had Dinan do their top mod and they claim it yeilds 465hp. Regardless, I beat him horribly and was pulling away more and more until I let up each run. Didnt think it was worthy of a post. I drove his car after and with the money he spent I was very un-impressed by the car.

Nope john those were early Ferrari ringer cars that were tested down hill at Fiarno track. I think thats how you spell Ferraris track. The F430s have found to right with the gallardo.

How can he beat an SRT-10, which clocks 3s to 60, and 11s through the 1/4 Mile, and than tie with an F430 which is slower?

Have you run against any porsche? I can't tell most of them apart except for the weak boxters, and I really don't know which are competitors. I killed couple in my SL55, but just couldn't tell what they were.

I dont know how he beat the F430, but I have taken 2 Viper SRT-10's without much difficulty in my CLS55. I raced an F430 in my E55 and he took 2 carlenths off me by the time we got to 100-110mph. That was with a very good launch on my part too. Havent run an F430 in the CLS55 yet, but I cant imagine doing any better than I did in the E55. F430 is no joke!

Perfect reply to that question. Ive personally seen a guy at the 1/4 talk **** to other drivers saying, Anyone got a helmet, anyone got a helmet, and then run a neck and neck race with a LS1 WS6 and run and 13.4!

With mods, I imagine the F430 is within reach, especially if the US Spec version is in fact slower than the Euro version. This seems to always be the case, the people across the pond always get the better ****!
