Whoops, I forgot. It would seem that the SLR has a decided HP to weight advantage. That SLR was VERY impressive!

I'll assume you can see, and just aren't watching the same video as I. Because CLEARLY the E55 puts up a HUGE fight, and overtaking that vehicle, even with the almighty SLR seems to be a MASSIVE CHORE.

You must not race much. That E55 had a 15 mph roll lead on the SLR in "the second race" & the SLR not only stopped his pull, but then started reeling him in before LETTING OFF THE GAS. Geezuz, do you have ANY idea how fast another car has to be to stop a 15 mph roll on head start & then starting pulling it?

That E55 got RAPED, even when having the jump in EVERY run. Its a quick sedan but as stated before, its nowhere near as fast as the SLR.

You have to factor in a few things though john. The E55 is given the Jump every race, the SLR has to Downshift, and in a mercedes that means stomping it making sure you get into that hole on the ground and then waiting for the downshift. That can take a lil time, and by then the E55 will already be into its next gear. So you figure a 4 car jump maybe. The SLR stops the pull of the E55 in one gear, and reels it in into the next gear, and then lets off the gas. How can you say the E55 put up a great fight if you watch the first race. That was a raping. Not to mention the SLR couldnt go all out because of traffic.

Oh! So the SLR COULDN'T go all out because of traffic-- but!-- the E55 could!?

The E55 got a 2 car jump--max, nowhere close to 4.

How can you say the E55 did NOT put up a fight? Clearly, you must watch the second race, and tell me-- details aside-- who was ahead?

CLEARLY, although unwilling to register to most of you, the E55 held its own.

Watch it again.

WHAT !!! You cant be serious, even by your standard that is kind of funny.

If that race by your definition describe a race that is remotly close, I would like to see the race you would describe as a flat out murder....

Considering the performance of an AMG E55 with that kind of huge jump start and then being chased down so brutaly is IMO impressive of the SLR.

To expensive, but one hell of a car Personally I would go for the CGT, but the SLR is very very fast.

My standard!? What is that suppose to mean?

Flat out murder to me-- would be like a C230 racing an E55-- thats murder, THIS was just a HARD-EARNED little kill, nothing more.

Found several in my price range but importing seemed to be the biggest hassle. Most weren't willing to sell unless you have proof of DOT Certification If you have the money, who cares right?

And a little slow, John. The SLR is the ultimate GT. If I saw your ghettoized SL next to me, I wouldn't even waist my gas. Let alone now :p
which one?
hopefully the ZR with more than 525's...

Oh, It's a 45' ZX Daytona with triple 500's *Now with whipple chargers on them pushing about 790 each* I picked it up about 1 1/2 ago with 250 hours... I was invited to Lake X to test it but haven't had time in the past few weeks

Surprising you would say that. Perhaps murder would more less be like the Murci and your SL

And a kill is a kill none the less, whether you win by a mile or 2 inches

PS: If you ever would check your inbox, the Pangani Vid was uploaded last night.

Absolutely correct! Like when my SL would pull away and leave your hedge-shaped would-be supercar in a cloud of embarrassing dust! Clearly! Incontrovertibly I would be declared winner-- glad we finally see things from the same point of view.

... Yes, I slipped up and didn't put the prescribed outcome.
And please next time don’t look in the thesaurus to make yourself seem semi-intelligent at the best.
