That E55 got RAPED, even when having the jump in EVERY run. Its a quick sedan but as stated before, its nowhere near as fast as the SLR.

WHAT !!! You cant be serious, even by your standard that is kind of funny.
If that race by your definition describe a race that is remotly close, I would like to see the race you would describe as a flat out murder....
Considering the performance of an AMG E55 with that kind of huge jump start and then being chased down so brutaly is IMO impressive of the SLR.
To expensive, but one hell of a car
Personally I would go for the CGT, but the SLR is very very fast.
