SLR vs E55 VIDEO! Pretty cool.

I belive I have seen that one, it should not be necesarry. Everyone with eyes can see what happend with the E55 in this video too, it was not even close.
But if you find it put it up, always fun to see fast cars in action.
I have (or had) one of the McLaren F1 vs the Nissan Skyline to, not a pretty sight.....

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Its a Topgear video, not that good but you get the general idea what happens when the Skyline goes up against the best sportscar of all times.
0-200 mph in 28 sec topspeed 243 mph....

If this does not work for you PM me and I can send it via mail. Its app 2.5 mb.
I am trying to Google out a McLaren vs Modded Supra also, but so far I only find dead linkes.
WOW, that is gorgeous! Any shots of the engines?
I would take the CGT as well, although I happen to think it only looks good with the Targa tops removed. Looks like a pick-up truck with them in place! Wish it was more streamlined behind the roll bars!
I would agree there is no better GT when you consider what GT means. There are many better all out supercars then the SLR, but none of them offer the magnitude of versatility as an SLR. Its really the best of all worlds: Luxury, Exclusivity, Speed and Function.
I have a picture of the engine bay when it was just the 500's and when I was in Naples. It's an 03' and I really don't know if the 500's are available anymore. From what I've heard the ZXs are due for a facelift pretty soon.I had some pretty long talks with the people at Donzi in regards to how much the hull could actually withstand. According to them the limit was 2500hp and 140 knots. If I'm not mistaken they even have a S/C package available from the factory upon special request.
Before the mods on a run to the Keys with relatively flat water I ran 87 knots which was disappointing to me and I've only been able to take it out 4 times since them but it is a totally different beast than before. I think I could hit somewhere in the range of the 120-130s with perfect conditions but the V-hull really isn't meant for flat out but rather to take extreme ocean conditions and still maintain a good 60 knots.
My only gripe about it is the cost of fueling this thing. You think your AMGs and SUVs are bad, try getting 1.2 MPG with a 250 gallon tank
But, all in all it's worth and I'm completely impressed with the setup as of now.

PS: I’ll take some pictures this weekend when I bring it back from Daytona due to the hurricane. I just haven’t had anytime on my hands

I'm not knocking the GT; it's an amazing car none the less.Me, I’m going to be the odd ball out and take the SLR. It is a classic in the making and exclusivity is a major part of it. For instance, look at Crystal Cove… They have at least 3 CGTs there every Saturday. I haven’t seen a single SLR thus far. Another example is Champion Porsche, I mean 11 CGTs under one roof. Talk about over allocation
Also the performance isn't that far behind a CGT and you get the benifit of luxury, a trunk and gobs of low in power.Plus the Brabus SLR is just amazing... Altough, I wouldn't like to pay for it :p

Thanks for the additional pics, its amazing! Thats some serious speed for being on water, I'd be scared just to go 100 Kts, lol!
I'll absolutely agree with you on the part about the SLR being a classic in the making, there is no doubt in my mind! I know what your saying on the CGT with the wing retracted vs extended as well. I have seen 4 CGT's on the road here in the the SFV and only 1 SLR so it seems more exclusive though I dont know how many of each have been sold so I cant say with any conviction whether one is more exclusive than the other.

I think there are suppose to be 3500 SLRs over 7 years. However, I don't think that they'll produce their original quota and production will be cut short eventually. There are only suppose to be 1250 CGTs however, it just seems like they were all made at once or something you know :p The US market seems over saturated with them at the moment and there are even 3 of the things in my neighborhood in Biscayne. The SLRs also seem to be holding their own in respect to value and I haven't seen used ones come on to the market. They all are the production year at that time and it seems like no owners are giving up their allocations
There's one in Ft. Lauderdale that's been begging me to test drive it for the past few months, but I'd only get black. No exceptions

actually I went to Mercedes on Park ave this past fri, they had a 2005 SLR with 2500 miles on it. I was surprised to see that they had a used one, it was also $50,000 below market value (mrsp for new). If i had the money i would of bought it on the spot. They had 2 perspective buyers there too, opened up the hood and let those people who where lucky enough to wander in take a peek at the interior and quality of the machine. it was amazing, i love the CGT, but after sitting in the SLR. I was pretty sold since it was ridiculously comfortable. i wish i took pics but i didnt have the camera on me
I agree with you though andrew i would rather have it in black. the one the dealer had was in silver. The ferrari dealer next door had a spyder 430 in red, 2006. I dont know if it was for a buyer since its been there for almost a month now. Are you still looking into the 430 its freakin sick!
One of the directors of the Osceola School Board had a 38' Donzi *Twin 575s* And he took me out on it one weekend and I was sold, originally I was looking for a luxury cruiser like a Sea Ray 630 or a Sunseeker 62 but I didn't think that they'd be as "fun" as a day cruiser. I'd rather have the speed more less. I can make a run to the Virgin Islands on Friday, cool out and be back in Orlando at 6:45 on Monday ready for my meetings.
I really think that it's capable of 120... That's what the engineers at Donzi themselves rated it with the SC 750s. So, maybe. Well see in the near future, I have to get it this weekend and hopefully I can make the run from Daytona to Miami in less than 3 hours.
Haha, I know what you mean about the systems. I've been a bass freak since I can remember. But, I pay dearly with the current setup in the ESV... I think I'm starting to lose some of my hearing :p Still, I'm more of a SQL than SPL kind of person.

However, if they get one in black... I just might consider handing over the keys to the Murci. The Spider is suppose to start production soon, I have a call from the dealer but I didn't bother to check it
It's suppose to be here December 23... I think, I'd have to look at the papers again. However, I'm really considering selling my spot. I was offered an extremely reasonable price for it that I would never pay myself. I'm might just wait a little while and wait for the right car to come along.
