M-Coupe killed by my wife in my C32

I had some stuff to move yesterday, so wife takes the C32 and I take the 4Runner. As luck would have it, she ends up being tailgated getting on the freeway by some klown in a blue M Coupe (the funky one that looks like a mini-station wagon). Says the guy was right on her bumper, so she nailed it at about 40. Says the M sort of hung in there for about 2 or 3 seconds, but ended up about 8 car lengths back by 100. She denies having "raced," as she claims that she simply "needed to put a safe distance between her and the car behind her."

By coinidence, we happened to see the same car later in the day (guy must live in our neighborhood here). M was trying to race anything with tires. Keep an eye out for him for some racing pleasure: M is sky-blue, has a roof rack and custom exhaust. Guy seems to have a permanent hard-on/lead foot.

My wife does the same. A few weeks back she whooped up on a new M3 in our Bentley Continental GT.

Tierrasanta. Just down the road from you. Keep an eye out for him. I also have a new neighbor with a Dinan E46. Haven't met him yet, but looking forward to a run.

i can see the M falling back if it was a 240hp 3.2L version...

If you run across a 315hp 3.2L (the same engine as the E46 M3, just slightly detuned) it would of been closer or even could of pulled on your car.

I think you have your chip and pulley therefore you would of still been ok, but those cars are light and with great gearing..

anyhow nice kill for MRS.

I wish my dad would just sell his LX470 and get the E55. He keeps contemplating whether to get a Porsche Boxster after he sells the LX470. I say, BUY the E55 NOW! and save yourself the hassel of being the slowest german car out there. haha. The E55 is definitely a beast, your mother is very lucky.
