Turbo Grand Prix vs. SL55 AMG

I am coming back from the track, running same boost as I was running 113.76 traps. I come across a SL55 AMG (V8 Kompressor).
It was a younger italian guy and his girlfriend in the car. 1st Race I pulled cuz I didnt think he was trying or didnt expect it...LOL...he pulls up next to me and tells me to go. From 60-140MPH he prolly pulled 4 or so cars which sounds about right if these cars are running in the 116mph range. He pulls up next to me and goes WTF does that have in it....haha. I told him a turbo kit, he goes holy **** again and said thats really fukin fast, I gave him tons of compliments on car and I said, trust me i know how fast your car is.....AWESOME RACES!!! This was on the Atlantic City Expressway near exit 17 before the toll.
** It was 4 lanes when we raced and no cars around!
My car is a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I have the Cartuning T61 Turbo Kit (Non-Intercooled) I just installed an intercooled and fully built transmission. Looking for mid-high 11's at 120ish MPH.

Pics of the car I race....

I love it!! That guy must've shi*t his pants when he saw he couldn't put but a few lengths on you, following in that POS AVIS rental car....

No-offense man I'm sure your car is fast an all but, You know if the roles were reversed and you were in the SL55 w/your girl and you saw a car like yours wanting a race you'd be like what ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

Too funny

Yea, it was funny....i have an electric cutout too, thats the ONLY way I get people to race me....lol, it sounds stock when its closed and like a JET when its open. I took the racing numbers off the windshield and the badges too.....Cant wait to be hitting high teen's or 120 traps....lol Thanks for the compliments.
ALL GO NO SHOW!

One fast car. It probably hooks better when launching it in reverse gear since all the weight and traction will now be at the front. J/K

Love them sleepers

Back in the day I stuffed a nicely built 403 into my 1981 Toronado (first car). The car had an aluminum hood and weighed only 3700 lbs.

It was a blast...wire hubcaps and all. Some low dollar Pirellis to melt into oblivion every 5,000 miles. Ate primitive 1994 era ricers for breakfast, and could even beat stock Mustang GT's etc.

The only trouble with the sleepers are that they are great straight line cars. When that Grand Prix starts to flutter is when the AMG is starting to hunker down and run. In the end, the "cheap stuff" may bark like a big dog, but when things get drastic that's when they pee like a puppy.
