Clowned a C230 Kompressor tonight (funny schitt)
So it goes green and she either SIDESTEPS THE CLUTCH or nuetral drops it, chirped a little. I 'bout couldn't contain myself from laughing but I did manage to throw the coals on the diesel and hand her *** to her.
She was kinda big, maybe weight played a factor. At the next light she rolled down her window and asked if my car was a diesel. MmmmHmmmmm.
She was big enough to burn diesel. So off goes the little C listing to Port, and I too go about my merry way home.
I don't know how many horses a C230K has, maybe 177 or so. In her case, her car had 178
.

.I'm sure you have better stuff to spend your diesel on instead of killing girls in 230s. Just kidding. :p

That's great. I can see it now. :p
There is much more potential in the CDI engine, 500 lb/ft doesn't require any hardware just software. Diesels can make SKOOKUM power; most people don't realize it and if you tell a non-believer they are still a non-believer until they see it for themselves.
Even before the upgrade, CDI blows a C230 out of the water. I once borrowed a 2005 C230 as a service loaner. A CDI doesn't just beat a 230 off the line, it owns a 230 at any speed.
And its got legs....the 230 loaner needed gas like every 300 miles. I have strectched my CDI 800 unrefueled miles on a trip last summer.
I must admit, though, the sport package C has much better brakes and tires than the E320, lots of value in the C especially the new C350.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think a C230 doesn't even have 200 lb/ft of torque, and still weighs 3450 lbs. That's A LOT of weight for a 1.8 liter. The CDI weighs 3800 or so, only 10% more weight than a C230, and in my circumstance, 235% as much torque.
BTW its a typo in my original post where I wrote CLK230 I meant C230.

Yeh, if you ran into a CLK230 in VA, it would be a rare sighting indeed since they arent sold in the US.
