I don't like the lines of the Conti GT so I would opt for the AMG version SL's any day - if I had that kind of green to spend :-)

Also - I was under the impression that the SL line started with the SL500! Is there actually an SL350? Maybe it's just not available in the USA. Personally, I'd rather have my SLK's than an SL350. In fact, we opted for the SLK55 over the SL500, which was one of our choices.

That chrome mesh grille is really popular now. It is a british thing though but Chrysler seems to be using it too.

I drove a Bentley GT, and didnt like it at all. If you are looking for speed and a Gt car, the AMG line of Benzes is the way to go. However, if you are looking to cruise, the Rolls Phantom is the Ultimate. If that is a little too out there, a nice Mulliner edition Arnage will do just fine.

its not just the grill, its the headlights and the lines of the car.... if some1 put the jag on the hood it could easily b mistaken for a jag, u can never ever ever say that about the "real" bentleys

honestly, give Bentleys some respect. I understand that you drive a SL600, they are incredible but a Bentley does deserve some respect even though it might not keep up.

Yea, I may still drive a Chevy at the end of the day...but at least I have more class than you and have more respect for all sports cars, fast or slow, and what they are capable of. You can go on with your narrow minded way fo classifying cars for price or luxury and performance in other categories, but I will move on knowing I respect ALL cars for what they are and only make judgements on the owners and not the drivers. Comparing apples to oranges gets you no where, but at my ripe old age of eighteen I think my mindset will someday get me much further than you have clearly come...

No, my post was about how this tool with the Bentley sped up to catch me and shok his head trying to say that his because he hada Bentley he wsa king of the road. Unfortunately the SL600 is king of the road bowing down only to the 65 series AMG's and true exotics.

Ok then, if you don't respect a car that is "King of the Road" speed wise that will clobber your SL600 to be the "King of the Road" in the new sense of the word in speed and horsepower, then maybe you can "respect" the CLS55, E55, SL 55 or the brute G55, along wiht the white Flying Spur and DB9. But then again, I guess your SL 600 is the true king of them all.

You are absolutely right. One cannot really compare the two cars, for they are different types of vehicles. 600 Twin Turbo is a tq monster, no argument there. It's also 500 lbs lighter, 2 seats, and a roadster. Bentley GT is a 5000 lb, 4 seat, ultra luxury car, which happens to top out at 198 mph. The Bentley GT is a well engineered and refined machine. The SL600 is refined as well, yet it's focus lies more with power, while the Bentley focuses more on presitge.

CLK55, don't call a guy you don't know a loser on the grounds that he's driving a Bentley.
