1990s Toyota Camry VS SLK 55
its is not going to be the most impressive story since its a obvious result..but anyways... i was driving my slk down the highway home from dinner not really speeding or anything and it was a 3 lane highway..this guy in a camry came up behind me and started flashing me with his head beam... i had a look and i was thinkin..fine fine..im going slow ill give way..so i moved to the side.. and the camry moved up just pass me and still flashing..and looking at that guy i realised he didnt want to pass me he wanted to race.... and thus began the shortest race in history...

I always wonder what these clowns are thinking when they do that.......cause usually it doesn't seem like they are joking around. I always think its either one of two things:
1) They have no idea what an AMG is, and think MB=heavy=slow grandpa car
2) They do know what an AMG is and they just want to hear the motor or something.....like when I see an M5/996TT/Z06/etc....no chance, but its fun to hear the roar
I had a similar incident w/ some corolla S (or whatever their "sport" model is)...some high school kid and his buddy pull up next to me at red light, and proceed to rev. I just kinda smile and wave....and then think they are thinking #1 from above (because of what the S seems to imply to its owners) and decide to show 'em a little Affalterbach power. Buried the loud pedal, and even w/ a poor launch (ESP off w/ a little wheel spin) my passenger and I put an instant buslength on them
Anyways, funny kill......you should always brag about that one when ppl ask about your car

One of my dreams one day would be to build up a Camry or Honda Accord, convert it to rear or all wheel drive, shove in a 500 hp motor, and leave all exterior visuals stock, even the hubcaps.
I can see it now. *fap* *fap* *fap*

Same thing happened to me against a VW Jetta. It was a plain blue Jetta with hubcaps and no badges. We punched it at 70 and he started walking away easily. My friend next to me started looking at my right foot and asking what the hell was happening. It looked like a 4 banger N/A Jetta but pulled 5+ solid carlengths from 70-130. Weird thing is, my friend who was with me had a GTI VR6 that I used to walk all over all the time, and I've blown the doors off modded 1.8 turbos when we used to go looking for trouble.
Another surprise was a turbo'ed 80's hatchback Mazda. It was painted black primer, no hubcaps, no spoilers or stickers, and a QUIET exhaust! I actually did a double take in my rearview when I saw him right there at my 1/4 panel after a 0-100.

Dang! Nice kills guys.
I would have given him about a 50 car length lead and just pass him, and do that several times. Make him think he's winning and just kick his ***.
I don't think a 90's Camry could even take on the C240.

haha...yeah, the funny thing was we came to the next light (which was also red) and he pulls up and his passenger was like,

Modded SRT4 (louder exhaust and blowoff valve - from what I could observe) wanted to race my friends Testarossa (I was riding shotgun). The results were too bad to even post...such carnage.
Another time (maybe two months later), a different SRT4 (body kit and spoiler no blowoff valve) tried to play with the 600. Hehe.

Just to add. In the first scenario, the guy saw a very fast car and just wanted to play. No problem there, it was all for fun, and we exchanged a complimentary salute after traffic picked up and they caught up. Second time, the guy was persistent, staying on my bumber till I had enough and just lost him. Sheesh. Always the ricers.
