911 vs RS6

So there I was cruising the middle lane of the M25 at 70mph when an `04 Audi RS6 suddenly came up right onto my rear bumper. He then overtook me as fast as he could and then got stuck behind a car in the outside lane.
He was in his late 40`s or early 50`s with glasses. I thought about letting it go especialy as I have promised my wife that I would be a good boy but then the inner child spoke and before I knew it I was behind him.
My heart was beating fast as the car in front of him was signalling to move out of his way. I saw him glance in his rear view mirror and new he was going to floor it. I tightened my grip on the wheel and shifted into third at about 80mph and set my car to about 2 car lengths behind.
His car squatted slightly and I floored it, the gap stayed constant as we accelerated hard, I saw a puff of smoke from each of his pipes as I grabbed fourth. The gap started to close and the adrenalin was pumping hard.
I shouted move your a** at him and then suddenly I clocked traffic coming up ahead really quickly and we both shut-down. I was WOT in 4th for about 6 seconds so we were really moving.
He moved over and as I cruised passed he gave me thumbs-up.

I dont know the figures for the RS6 but I think must be close to 400bhp? I think I would have gone passed him very slowly had we been on an empty road.

Anyway I know from pulling away from M3`s that the P car has a very special 320hp..Light weight, small frontal area and low cd make an awsome package.

they hit high 12's with no problems...

4.5 seconds on the 0-60

after 3 digits you will have a better chance... under 100, the instant torque of 2 turbos and V8 will be hard to beat, let alone AWD.

450hp stock and 415tq..

very easy to mod with a ECU and Exhaust...

even lightly Modded, the RS6 fails to run with stock E55's.

Heavyly modded.. its a beast!

Yeah, the RS6 is a rocket down low but up to triple digit speeds, it looses quite a bit of steam. (I heard an old E39 M5 can beat it at higher speeds)!

This sounds true.

I had a 2001 Audi S4, twin-turbo V6, and although it was quick as lightening off the line, it ran out of steam at higher speeds (85-115 mph).

Audi S engines are notorious for this. They are tuned for great low-end torque that comes on around 1800 RPM, and NO turbo lag. Their weakness is at the higher speeds.

Well, these audi`s keep coming and keep getting spanked...

I was on 2-lane road yesterday when I noticed what looked like an RS4 undertaking and weaving in and out of traffic which then after rapidly catching me proceeded to sit on my rear bumper. I was doing about 50mph and coming up to a roundabout about half mile ahead in the outside lane.
As he matched my speed I shifted to second and gave it everything. I opened a 2-3 car gap as he reacted and overcame some lag and then started to fly. The gap stayed at 3 cars till the roundabout at which point I slowed to 40 and went round with him back on my bumper. The road ahead was clear in the outside lane for another half mile and I new he was more ready this time. I once again gave it everything in second and this time the gap was ony 1-2 car lengths. The changes came thick and fast as as I grabbed 4th the gap was 3-4 and slighty increasing.
The lanes began to merge into one and as I shut down he decided to overtake me by crossing the solid white hatched lines. There was a car in front of me which he overtook and he was now on the wrong side of the road over double white lines with the car in front of me flashing his lights at him.

What an absolute a***hole.

It was an RS4 wagon

I was shocked that he was prepared to die and kill others in a moment of rage.

Still another scalp to add to my collection.

Any E55`s out there? I need the competition
