was drivin to oc today for a poker game.
i see a black golf with black wheels fly past me in the carpool lane doin about 90-100.
i'm like, **** it why not, so i get around traffic and line up with him.
he had 1 passanger, i was alone.
we did 2 runs.
the car was definitely not stock, sounded like the 1.8t.
1st run
we start at about 80, we floored it at about the same time (give 6r take a fraction of a sec).
we were about even until about 100, i pulled about 1/10th of a car, then i started pulling very slowly and by 135 i was about 3-5 lengths ahead.
2nd run
again we started at about 80, i started first but only slightly, this time i hit 140, i had him by about 7 lengths.
i was very surprised cause i thought he would take me cause of the drag, i was also surprised at how easy it was to switch lanes at 130+, and how stable the car was.
BTW,
i left BH with the gas needle about 2 mm below full tank and when i got to cypress (30-35mi) it was 2mm above 1/2 full.
this race cost me $20. talk about bad fuel consumption

A Beater
Very nicely done... You showed those wannabe german ricers what's up. They are annoying because they will race anyone thinking they are fast. Let alone my C55 and my STI, winning is too easy.

95 Audi urS6 Quattro
I get similar results with the fuel consumption. Coming back from boston at 100mph++ for a good 70 miles cost me a little more than half a tank haha. No suprise you beat him, a four banger has no omph past a certain speed, even with the ML's drag you can easily get on a 4 banger at that speed. Good kill =)
