Bro, I really think you should get the blower, you'll feel right at home since you've supercharged before, and with both setups traction will be an issue anyways but once your hooked on the ground it's a HP game! Andy likes to use ETP or AFR heads (milled to boost CR), if later down the road you want to add a blower (cuz he!!, enough is really never enough...especially HP)...those heads will have to come off, and more $$$ out of your pocket.
Most guys with a H/C setup I've talked to are thirsty for more so they add laughing gas to quench the thirst.

Constant check engine lights among other things, but if you think there aren't any problems to be had and Andy can confirm no future problems w/smog down the road when I move on to something else I'm totally game!
Lets meet up give me a call.....

I dunno which way I'd go (blown C6 or modded N/A Z06 - probably the modded Z06 ) GM has done a great job with the Z - just need to improve the interior a bit & it would be PERFECT IMHO (its close to perfect right now). The new Z06s are just plain bad azz - I REALLY like them .

We can meet up at A&A, we'll have Mario come over and pay for our lunch. I'm scheduled to go back soon, most likely on a Sunday, less crowd and Mike (head-tech) occasionally works both weekend days...I'll let you know which Sunday.
Enjoy your new ride!!!

Charlie is easily accessible via cell phone or email for questions or issues with the PCM.

But wow, with that cam and pump, I must just have to be putting down some crazy numbers by the end of summer....

9 times out of 10 you should take one in the 1/4. You have the advantage with the auto and the Z needs a perfect launch which is very tough. Both cars are very close though, high 11's.

You know what's funny? I could've bought a Yugo and would still be happier than I was, It's insane how much better I feel to have that HPS paperweight off my back.

The Corvette is fast, it's actually faster than a Ferrari in the straight line. They handle fairly well as well, but it's not comparable to an SL on a nice mountain road.

GM has raised the bar with this new Z. Most local dealers are still asking 10K over MSRP on any ordered 07.

Listen, the Z06 is a sweet car & I am sure plenty of us on these forums could trade our rides and pick one up tomorrow if we wanted to. That is not the point.
The point is that the vette has a N/A 7.0L V8, weighs +1000lbs less and has fat *** rear tires. Is it a hard top convertible? Will it fall apart in 3 years? Does it have the prestige of Princeton or is it more like Rutgers?
I think it is a great car, but not for me. I think for me will be the 2009 SL63 with a V8 BiTurbo making over 650 bhp!!!

The point to it is, it is impossible to compare apples to oranges. Which one will you pick? A hot girl who gives okay sex but is an absolute head turner or an average girl who give you excellent sex but you keep her at home.

I don't understand why most people on this forum whole heartedly believe that Mercedes is the end all of performance cars, Just isn't so sure they've been packing them w/gobs of TO & HP especially these last few years but there still Overweight slobs period. Except for the SLK55, still though at 34-3500 lbs not really a comparison for Supercars weighing in at 3100 or less w/substantially more power..

Hummm....11.0:1 CR, Siamese Cylinders, Hypereutectic Pistons; which is great for N/A, & quiet operation, but not a platform for F/I. A built bottom end would be mandatory! Read a couple of post above, you can acheive 620+rwhp on a N/A setup, I wouldn't be surprise to see LGM pull 650rwhp with proper flowing heads.
Andy of A&A Corvette has engineered the C6 Vortech kit and it's cousin; Paxton is done by East Coast Superchargers. After the ProCharger C6 Z06 grenading piston #7 ordeal, I don't see Andy or Doug of ECS installing their kits on a new C6Z unless the bottom is forged. The owner of that ProCharger has now built the bottom end and is currently at 670rwhp with some belt slippage on a 6 rib, he's now upgrading to an 8 rib setup.
Good luck with yours!

996 C4, previously owned 996 c2, c32 amg, 350z, R33 GTR, R34 GTR
Just checked out a Z06 and have to say that statically the car looked like a cheaper version of a 350z, in terms of shutline and paint quality, exterior fit and finish and interior quality. It also started with a `thin` sounding engine (but then i`m used to being around SLR`s) for a V8. I didnt get to drive it but the performance figures look sensational.
I think Benz and Porsche owners expect(and get) more from their cars than just raw performance.Still each to their own

You obviously seem to care about the performance, as you want to get brake and H/C upgrades...
