You sort of answered your own question, "after the recalls." Remember the websites they set up counting the number of spun crank bearings those motors were pulling? Early e46's were not exactly the most reliable cars, especially the smg versions.

i actually saw my first new M5 on the road the other day looks really good...around central jersey, M3's are dime a dozen esp in and around princeton. In West Windsor there are a good # of Maserati's too and a few ferrari's here and there...other than that there are just the good old "poor man's" S500's. The nicest garage I know of in my area is actually this guy who owns an All-state office, he has a 2006 CLS55..and SL55, S55, a G500, an acura RL and some others

20+ to list......
Nice run. I think those guys are from Hackettstown up on 80 West, I used to live in NJ for four years, and still commute to Morris County quite often. All those little car clubs around where I lived are usually kids who have nothing better to do than starting troubles.

I've never spotted an exotic in Mercer county aside from a damaged Lambo at a bodyshop down RT 130. The front quarter panel was mashed in a bit. They told me it was a $50,000 repair. Ooof!

Now THAT is a gorgeous stable. In my area we have quite a few exotics, there's a private community in Orange, Llewellyn park which is chock full of bentley's, RR's and everything else, and Park Ridge Estates in Cedar Grove is just nuts. My best friend used to live there and you couldn't go an hour without hearing the roar of a Lambo or the staccato blat of a 360CS. Just the other day I was pulling into the Dunkin Donuts in Cedar Grove and a guy pulls up in a brand new red F430. There's also a Red Zonda S in the area that I've seen twice, and that is just something to behold. I really have to step up my game, apparently.

In my area the nicest car I see is in my garage (assuming I bother to wash it). There's one other person who has a launch edition CLS 500 but that's it. Never seen an exotic out here. It's mostly old guys with big houses and trucks.

I never get to race anyone, it's depressing. The last "race" I had was 4 months ago with a Pontiac GTO at a light. It was over before it began, I was in his lane in front of him before we even hit 60.

I hear you man.. I live in Warren, NJ and the kids in my HS had a deep pocket from mommy and daddy and no taste. Our parking lot was a sesspool of civics tuned to hell, and other cars that just shouldt be driven by 17 year olds... such as NEW porche, BMW, benz, etc.. One kid even had a blue supra much like yours, but it was tricked out (and tacky). Question for you, did the supra come in an auto? Cause his was auto..

There was another blue that wasn't Royal Sapphire Pearl. I'm not sure how many RSP's came in auto, but apparently the autobox really likes big single turbos.

Normally you get the 18inch rims on the M3 and they are chrome, but you can get an option of the 19inch rims which are also chrome. But come to find out the 19inch rims are very weak and can be easily broke by hitting a pothole exct vs the 18inch rims which are a heck of a lot stronger. When it comes time for new tires I might consider some competition package rims but I have not done enough research to know how much they weigh vs prices of others rims, I had found some nice BBS rims that weighed 18lbs each but at almost $2k a rim ekkk no thanks.
