750iL and new 745i at same time.
Minding my own business at light at six lane road in Atlanta. 750 and new 745 come up on each side. Each guy is giving me the look![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I've had my 2001 S600 since August of 2000 and have really not gone hunting with it. Have the stock 17" wheels with H rated tires on it....for me this is just a ultra- smooth and cruise.... that can take on a Porsche Tiptronic with out even thinking about it....of course in the tight turns a Porsche will kill even if I did staggers at 19"....can't overcome weight (mother nature rules).
Didn't even turn off AC. Hit it and focused while listening to Racmonanoff Vespers. At 60mph they were both 50 yds behind...they were still trying.....at 100mph they were ants in rear view. Next light, they both looked pissed.....I pointed forward and mouthed "again?" No takers. Why do chumps in bimmers....who should know something about cars and capabilities....try taking on on a V12?? The new S V12 will really be a shocker for them!
Can't wait for my new E55!!!!!!!!!
Here's a pic of my "sled" resting afteer encounter.

yeah....I've heard a lot of people saying they don't like the stocks on the 600 series. With the ABC....the car rides rougher than the airmatic...even with sport setting off. So, I decided not to put more sporty tires on car.
I don't mind the look and they are easier to clean than any wheel I've owned....staying stock at least tells you haven't faked badged.....can't tell you how many fake S600's there are in Atlanta!!
One more thing about the stocks....they cost $1,400 each. Since the 600 was heavy they newly speced/manufactured a super lightweight (honycomb interior) superlight alloy for the stock offering....the wheels stock on the 600 weigh 1/3 the weight of the AMG 18"

Hey Al....
Yes, I still use BlackFire as the final coat. I have found that the PS21 paint/prep polish does a better job with the Porter cable polisher. Also, I started using Clay Magic that is "red"...meaning a slightly more aggressive medium grade......really takes off the micrscopic crude even better before polishing......used to use the milder "blue" clay magic.
What are you using as your system now? If you're up North....w/salt on roads I'd probably be using Klasse sealant during the winter....about 4 coats.
