the chances that the guy in the turbo didnt know how to drive..very high.
the 911 has 480 hp and hits 60 aprox 3.5 seconds, and is a 11 second car. top speed is 193.
" For now, this is the ultimate state of 997 turbo enhancement. Peak horsepower rises to 640 bhp, while torque swells to nearly 600 ft-lb. Additional enhancements from the stage II powerkit are two larger VTG turbo and king-size aluminum intercoolers to eliminate heat soak and maximize VTG-assisted boost. The path of boosted gasses is similarly enhanced - as high boost hoses and fittings are specified. Thus equipped, the Stage III 9ff turbo rockets to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, 125 in 10.7 seconds and continues charging on, until the forces of aerodynamic drag finally impede its progress at an all-conquering 213 mph."

I love Porsche but JGXS never said he spanked it he stated they had a good race. Lets give credit to the fact he hung with him....rather the owner knew how to race or not. Now keep in mind that JGSX doesn't have a standard C32 either.............its heavily modded imo.

10-to-4...Why so negative about C32s when you drive a car that isn't doing anything better than 6-point-something to 60? A heavily modded C32 is doing much better than the 13s you say. You need to know what you're talking about before you post. As for no one here ever having driven P-cars, check the sig. A bunch of people currently have them at MBWorld too and know exactly what they're capable of

go look for me on porsche forums. i own a 2004 turbo.
so please. i am not negative on c32s or any C's. but come on a story like that? we all know the c32 had no chance on an 07 turbo. thats all i am saying. all you people do is get mad at the truth.

Ignorant. The C32 is, *stock*, a mid-low 13 second car.
Modded, they're quite a bit faster than that. Here's one example:

Oh, sure...how could anyone who could afford a high five-digit to six-digit Mercedes ever hope to afford a Porsche?

I'll tell ya, though....
.....after doing a quick refresher on the performance of the 997TT, I'm a bit skeptical myself. Car & Driver tested a *tip* version of this car, and here's what they got:
Zero to 60 mph: 3.4 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 7.8 sec
Zero to 150 mph: 18.7 sec
Street start, 5-60 mph: 4.4 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 11.6 sec @ 122 mph
A 122 trap is 7 mph faster than anything I've seen out of a C32, and it only gets worse up high. 0-150 in 18.7 is far faster than an E55, even faster than an SL65, or an M6 for that matter, although the AWD launch doubtlessly helped with that.
Still, I would expect him to put some pretty serious distance on a C32, even a modded one, at those speeds. Something just doesn't sound right here.

Correct. 3.7 to 62 for the tip and 3.9 to the same speed for the stick. The tip Turbo is probably the most lethal stop light car around. Anytime, in any conditions and with any driver it will get you a 31/2 second 0-60 without having to worry about a clutch.
Of course a 911 is more than just straightline speed

Bentley Arnage Red Label
My current autoweek has the 0-60 at 3.38 but the 1/4 is only 12.08 at 114.4. Seems like a slow trap and not that impresive 1/4 for a car that everyone says is the fastest thing out.

No Matter What I Believe Jgsx On This. I Personally Don't Think He Would Lie. If The P Guy Wasn't Racing To Its Potential So Be It. I Really Believe A Heavily Modded C32 Can Do It. A Slr With About 600-800 Lbs Heavier Weight Than An Enzo Doesn't Get Killed And Thats A V8 Against A V12 With About The Same Hp. A Heavely Modded Jap Car Can Put A Hurting On A P Car At A Fraction Of The Cost............keep In Mind I Love The P Car But Jgsx Is Not Putting That Car Down By Any Means. I Beleive That There Is A Video On Youtube That Shows A Slk55 With A Slr Engine Swap And It Killed An Enzo Why Cuz Of The Lighter Weight. I Am Not Saying Anything Neg About The P Car..............i Would Buy One In A Heart Beat But I Still Believe Jgsx On His Race With The 07 P Car. The Factory Eqip 06 Z06 Takes Out That P Car. But If The $$$ Was There I Would Still Get That P Car Over The Vette.

Your statement was laughably ignorant, and totally wrong. *Stock* C32s are in the low 13s; *modded* C32s are in the 12s, and that one ran a 12.3. You were absolutely, totally wrong on this point, and my post proved it, and there is not one inaccurate statement in that post.

You're an ignorant idiot who doesn't know how to read. The post you're quoting NOWHERE said ANYTHING about this race. Rather, it corrected *your* absolutely incorrect statement that "heavily modded C32s are only in the low 13s".
