You would think that the BMW would win over the acura. And I would think that the lambo should have smoked them all, but I guess sometimes stats arnt everything.

Anyone else see the M6 burning major rubber as it finished the corner towards the finish line.

I wouldn't call it a raping, the 997tt had a faster lap time, was an automatic, and the guy driving the P-car wasn't very good. He was all over the place.

What he said.

I'm a big fan of the NSX (who couldn't be when Senna helped tune the chassis), especially in Type-R guise but a 200bhp deficit would've been too much had the drivers been equal.

I've seen these guys race before. NSX, GT3, 360 and an Evo. 360 got raped and its brakes totally cooked themselves. The GT3 won by a mile.

As a side note, the 997GT3 RS has received unbeliveable first reviews from Autocar and Top Gear. They basically say Ferrari and Lamborghini should just give up. There'd be no fun in that though

BTW, M-cars can powerslide like no other. Shame they didn't give the M6 any brakes. Huge but all bark and no bite

But the M6, despite what BMW may tell us, is no track car or in the same performance league as a 997TT unless it's a highway. Great car though, and a killer second hand buy.

Also, anyone notice how much the TT pulled on the Gallardo in the straightaways. The low down power is so immense it even happens in 996's with just 414bhp

I agree but it seem like the M had more to it, it really comes to the driver... IMO the NSX driver seem like the only one trying, yet he didnt know how to drive IMO...then again what do i know.

the nsx r is said to have close to 400hp, honda wont admit it though, the turbo pulls on it on the straights but if it really had 286 it would have been raped...hard

its much lighter, its better balanced, its a stick, and it doesnt kill its tires (cause its light) as quick as all the others

True, they produce the best 'asian/oriental' drivers so ...well they arent that great just look at the likes of Sato, Yamamoto and the other one that failed in F1.

We need MS, Kimi, Alonso, Monty in those cars see how they do

Japanese pp have alot of pride, they are like the british.

I would agree but its only 4 laps right ? barely building heat up into the tyres IMO !

The NSX was the only stick shift...all others where auto's.. kinda not fair IMO

Most of these Best Motoring videos don't reveal much of the cars, but more of the capabilities of the drivers and the limits they take the cars to. If they use the same driver and conduct time trials instead, the times will be drastically different. What they do is pit a bunch of cars in a closed circuit and see who comes first, which is rarely an indicator of which car is better. I mean, they had a video where an Integra type-r beat an RX7!

Yeah the pull on the turbo was incredible, he litterally left the NSX, I think its because it was an auto tranny why he couldnt over take the NSX.
Speaking of the NSX, that car is incredible on the track, especially on a tight track such as that, the 911 couldnt even flex its muscle, same with the M6.
