Then I got off at Coldwater and headed south towards Ventura. A few blocks before Ventura there was a white M5 (w/dealer tags too) which was pulled over to the side. Probably droppin off somebody....so I continued on Coldwater and as soon as I passed through the Ventura intersection I see this M5 flying towards me and passes right by. IT WAS ON FROM THERE! So they claim the M5 can handle our 55's on the "Twistiesssssss"! Lets see.....We hit a few turns and I kept pushin up to his back bumper and finally found a wide enough turn to pull off the execution. Timed it perfectly, put the pedal to the floor and went into the oncoming lane and went right around him while we were both goin around the turn. I let him catch up a few times but he didnt wana play....Twistes, eh? NOT

he probably slowed down to let you pass, seeing how stupid you were going into the opposite lane during the day.
and you will not pull that hard on a 997S, he just didnt know how to drive, you waited 3seconds and still puled him by 6-7 cars up to 120
if you would like we can meet up and you can beat me by a little in the straights and then try to figure out which way i went in the twisties

, at the end the 55 was ahead of course who could play with the torque through traffic like our torque monsters, I was ahead by at least 2 to 3 car lenghts. Did i forget to metnion we had a friends SRT-8 after our behind also. It was great!, hehehe

yea agree. I had plenty of times driving the M and other cars that I would just let people get ahead or I would slow down and take a turn because they were driving like a retard.
Sorry to burst the E class owners bubbles... But an E or CLS cant out handle anything that BMW makes with the exception of the SUV's.
We have 2 E classes in our garage one has a sports package and a while back I remember reading a regular E with sports package would pull more G's than an E55 AMG on the skip pad. But still the E class is a heavy car and you can feel it, the BMW are very tight and give a lot of driver feedback.

On the highway, weaving through traffic is a breeze in the R129. It holds the road very well, and can be pushed hard without complaint. Power is fantastic, and more than enough to have some fun and outrun the majority of traffic.
Now, what I loved about the 530i Sport was its steering response. It had a tighter suspension, and you could truly feel the road and every corner. I pushed it hard and grip was commendable. On the expressway, I missed the midrange power of the R129. Regardless, the I6 could still hold it's own in highway tag.
While the AMG has the advantage in sheer power, the M is a sedan that handles like a sports car. Calling the AMG a poor handler is a naive comment, for the suspension can handle alot of stress. But, it is not as good as the M.
Personally, I would take the AMG. To my driving style, it would suit me more. Raw power at midrange, and, if I can make a two plus ton SL go around corners, I shouldn't have an issue with a CLS.

But anyways bro...if you wana hit some turns, let me know
i raced jangy (his e55 is stronger than most for some reason) he pulled about 2 1/2 to 3 lengths on me up to 110 from a stop, i didnt launch (still dont know how to, i tried once and glazed the clutch) and my car had less than 1000 mi on it at the time.
i also raced my cousins cls63 (w/ exhaust and 305 rear tires) from a dig to 115-120 all the way through 2nd (about 70) we were dead even and then i ****ed up my 2 to 3 shift and he pulled about 1 1/2-2 cars on me.
i think you guys are underestimating the weight advantage and perfect gearing of my car
