CLS55 encounters a Saleen Mustang

CLS55 encounters a Saleen Mustang
Ok. So I was in my 2006 CLS55 AMG and I was driving south on the I-5 freeway here in San Diego crusing along and this Mustang pulls up next to me and rolls down his window.. And he starts going faster for a bit and then slowing back down, suggesting he wanted to race.. (its about 10:45pm btw) and Im thinking "why not". So we're both going the same speed and then we both took off.. The excitment was great 
..especially the feel of all that torque haha.. There wasnt much traffic out so we both stayed in our own lanes but I was atleast 4 or 5 car lengths ahead of him at 100mph by the time I was up to 120mph I eased up and he just kept going on. Which was probably smart on his part..considering he got smoked by me haha

Do you know what type of Saleen it was? I was at Ford a month ago and they had a "Saleen Extreme" Mustang with over 550hp. The dealer told me its faster than a 997TT from a 0-60 (which I didnt believe for 1 sec). But still, I'm sure with that kinda power, the supercharged Saleen would be quite a challenge for a stock 55k AMG. Also, this car stickered at over $70,000

Yeah, the Barolo red looks super nice. I sure hope I crushed his self esteem, never mess with AMG power haha.

Im not sure what kind it was.. I just saw the Saleen thing on the back bumper, it was to dark out to get a good look at it.
I would never pay $70k for a Mustang.. even if was "Saleen Extreme".. it's still a Ford. It's like that $100k VW... way over priced for the company
