WAR: E60 M5 vs. 996TT Vert
This had to be my sickest race to date, and it was an absolute war. It went down this past saturday when the weather was immaculate. My friend and I were driving down a not-so-race-friendly highway in central Jerz, 24 east, when along comes a red 996TT Convertible just SCREAMING down the road. Older guy behind the wheel but you could tell he wanted it. The right lane was clear and I didn't feel like playing catchup, so I put it into 3rd at 80 or so MPH, deep into the revs, pushed the dreaded "M" button and took off like a raped ape. This guy was right with me.....90...100.....pulling him slightly.....110....120....130...I have probably 3 cars on him by now....140....150....speeds are now beyond epic....5 cars on him and we shut down due to traffic ahead that was now approaching so fast it looked like the road was closed. My passenger was screaming bloody murder telling me he's going to sue me (typical friggin lawyer pu$$y ****) and I was laughing heartily.
We cruise in traffic for a few minutes before he jumps a solid white line into a merge lane to get ahead and presumably regain his manhood. We played through traffic for a while but it never really opened up, but I stayed on his bumper as if to say "I've still got you b!tch." He was doing everything in his power to extend, refusing to believe a huge sedan could have dominated his P-car that hard. I didn't get so much as a look from this dude, who was probably cursing my spiked mohawk and aviators in his rearview.
We cruise in traffic for a few minutes before he jumps a solid white line into a merge lane to get ahead and presumably regain his manhood. We played through traffic for a while but it never really opened up, but I stayed on his bumper as if to say "I've still got you b!tch." He was doing everything in his power to extend, refusing to believe a huge sedan could have dominated his P-car that hard. I didn't get so much as a look from this dude, who was probably cursing my spiked mohawk and aviators in his rearview.

At highway speeds, a WOT E60 M5 is gonna need an AMG 65 to put it in its place.

Wow...CH good one man, you have aviators and spiked hair? I woulda never guessed it. Hey Transferred? I think a 55 or a 63 will do just fine to take down Mr. Cylinder. Good run M5 way to make the two seater look silly

Anywyas, two seaters really have been under attack since the turn of the century. The next RS6 should be pretty amusing and will probably see off F430s, certainly from stoplight to stoplight

Sorry man, I normally don't like to play in traffic, but don't worry I wasn't about to sideswipe anyone!
And Juice, find me some 63's around here that I can run with! I can't find any that want to play and trust me I'm always game. My cousin's an NJ Trooper so the odds of any traffic offense sticking to my record are slim. Gotta love the crooked NJ judicial system.

sweet race! I had a 2002 996tt and it wasn't crazy fast at all. It was fast 0-60 because of the awd, but not the most impressive car in the 1/4; maybe mid 12s. I eventually did the larger turbo upgrade and Evo stage 3. This upgrade woke the car up, but I still yhink my current Renntech upgraded CL 600 is quicker.

24 is not a good 2 lane to run on,been chased one too many times on the bikes....shoulda forced him onto 78 west,theres some sweet straights right around berkely heights.
Pretty sure the CLS is get swapped out for an E63 this wk,I'd love to play w ur M5,or your supra vs one of my bikes.We can see if I pee my pants

Head,I brought home a brandy new E63 saturday as soon as i put some miles on it I'd be happy to meet up with you for some *hypothetical* speed contest's.
I wont be able to run your Supra for at least 3 months as I tore my bicep&have surgery tomorrow.I have alot of friends that ride & if your down to film some of this we should do it,it would be a blast.

And Riffy, the M5 is stock, and its staying stock. Too many horror stories and I put a ton of miles on it. When I sell the Supra eventually I'll look into something I can mod that won't grenade within a thousand miles.

I went along on an NSX drive a couple weeks ago, and there was a guy there who owns a Carrera GT. It had a check engine light on that morning, so he elected to bring his daily driver instead:
