My Renntech CL600 vs Supercars !!!!
Friday afternoon: Wantagh pkwy (south of Merrick rd) and Ocean pkwy.
'99 Ferrari 550 Maranello, '03 Lambo Murcielago, '05 Carrera GT, and my Renntech CL600 TT. You can probably guess which car was the fastest: If you guessed the Carrera Gt, then you're correct. The Carrera Gt pulled ever-so-slightly on me and was about 1 1/2 car lengths ahead from about 50-120. If you guessed that the Lambo was the second fastest car, then you're wrong, because my Black Beauty beat the Lambo. I was about 1 car length ahead from about 50-150. To my surprise, our cars were about dead even from 50-100ish and I started pulling after 100 which really surprised me (and my friend). By the time we got to about 150ish, I was about 1 car ahead. The Ferrari was the slowest by far. I literally pulled away from the 550 and left him many car lengths back.
Sunday Afternoon: Ocean Pkwy
Same Carrera GT, '06 M5, '05 Ford GT, '06 Porsche Carrera S, and my CL.
I got a call from my friend with the Carrera Gt; him and some friends were going to the Nassau Colliseum. He said there was a Porsche event, so I met him there. After about an hour or so a bunch of us headed to Ocean pkwy(Captree). A few months ago I already beat my friend in his M5, and I already raced the Carrera GT. I didn't want to bother with the Carrera S because I knew I'd beat him. The car that I wanted was the Ford GT and eventually I got my opportunity. To be honest, I did have 100 octane, and the Ford GT had a passenger; I was alone. We were on Ocean pkwy and the road ahead was pretty clear. we slowed down to about 40, 3 beeps of the horn and we were gone: this race was literally dead even all the way up to about 140. This was one of the best races I've had; we both launched at about the same time and our cars were literally dead even the whole way. we slowed down at 140 as there was a car ahead in his lane. I was amazed once again (as was everyone else) that my 4500lb luxury car with back seats kept up with another true super car. The guy in the passenger seat is a good friend of mine and he kept saying (about 10 times) once we all stopped at Captree for lunch is "I can't believe how fast your car is."
I was also impressed with the weekends races. I look forward to racing with these guys from dead stops throughout the summer. I can get traction now that the weather is warmer.

I'll definitely go to Captree often in the summer. A lot of my friends are also into cars, so it's a fun thing to do on a nice summer day.
Blown V8,
I'm not sure if it would be worth spending a lot of extra money for a few more hp. Example; is it really worth spending $5000 on the Renntech airbox, which gives us 15hp. The best value was spending the $5000 for the ECU/TCU upgrade. I think it makes sense to spend additional money on 19 or 20" wheels. I do want the BMC filters when available and I'll probably leave the car the way it is.

Why would 100 octane hurt your car?
They sell it at a Sunoco station on Jerueslm Ave, about 1 mile east of Newbridge rd in Bellmore on LI.
