2003-2004 were rated at 260/260 (hp/tq) in the sedan, 280/270 in the coupe.

So it's actually a c320? Big whoop, unless a benz has an AMG badge don't count on it to "kill" a G.

but its ok guys, im not mad. its just that some idiots dont think about what CAN really happen, they just compare numbers. thats dumb.

you can have a 100000hp japanese car with a ****ty *** transmission and throttle control, and probably still get it's *** whooped by a slow assss german car!

well back to some replies...

the new G37 coupe is slightly heavier than the previous coupe, and ran 0.1 sec slower than the previous G35 sedans how can that happen?

I guess they added 27hp, but probably was 27 fat and overweight horses.

Yup, you definitely need an AMG to beat the almighty G35

I actually like G35's but they are nowhere close to invincible and neither are the turbocharged versions.

Yea because those E550s and the like don't have an AMG badge and we all now those are slow as hell. I guess i could stick an AMG badge on my car and be able to "kill" a G then shouldn't I?

The big difference between my 350z and c36 is the Zs handling. My c36 can't match the handling of the Z. Its a good balanced sports car vs c36 lux, refinement, etc.

Jons95c36amg- don't take offense man, honestly I think the 350Z/G35 are great cars, great bang for the buck, etc. but I just can't stand the "we're driving the fastest damned thing on the road" motto that most drivers seem to have on the road and on forums. I mean, it's been proven that the two of them are great cars with very decently powered v6 engines, but statements like, "you need an AMG badge to kill a G"...that deserves a slap!

Yea, those Twin-Turbos don't make any difference. I actually like the G35 and was thinking about getting the sedan. It's just ignorance that i'm seeing in this thread that's getting annoying. Case in point: "...unless a benz has an AMG badge don't count on it to "kill" a G."

well I love all this discussion but sometimes I dont like to post up kill stories mainly because we have people here that love to argue that whatever is slow, is slow.

if we are talking about unless a car has a amg badge on it then it can kill a G, thats just BS.

like, if someone k-charged his C320 or something, it doesnt have an amg badge, can that kill a g35? I'm sure the New CLK550s are powerful enough to take a G35 coupe, does it have an AMG badge on it as well? no.

as for you, "JASON333" I dont know WHAT your doing here with a toyota tacoma, but your wrong. those modifications of mine is not just for sound, its for performance as well. thats why its a performance modification, not a sound modification.

owners here WITH the renntech airbox (jared used to have one!) knows that then renntech airboxes are PROVEN to gain 15-18hp.

owners here WITH the evosport UDPS (V6, V8 and SC motors) KNOW that the evosport UDPS are proven for a 12-15hp gain (for the v6s)

those with actual car specific aftermarket peformance exhaust systems, know that the car responds a bit quicker and a slight increase in power. as for remus, they state a 5-8% gain, but i'll say its probably a 5hp gain max.

some people like to "look at numbers" so i'm giving you guys the #s. also, a manual g35 coupe I probably cannot take, but as for the auto one. hey, I did take him.

A dyno slip would answer any questions about the power your making. I kinda have to agree with Jason333 though. The only thing you have bolted on that may make any considerable gain is the airbox.

So I can't come here and discuss this with you since I don't drive a MB? Ok a really close friend drives one, is that ok? If you think on a dyno you will pick up 15 hp from an airbox, I have some mods I'd love to sell you. People like yourself spend all this money on bolt on mods, and never even spend the $50 for a before and after dyno pull to back any of this BS up. I can see where you are coming from. If I spent more than $1000 on an intake, I'd have to make myself feel all warm and fuzzy by claiming numbers as well. I'll say it again, it's an intake/airbox/whatever you need to call it to make life good, it isn't good for much else besides noise. You're the idiot who spent the money ($2500 new?) on a do nothing mod to feel elite that it's "rare".
