E550 vs new M5
Well, this is not an official kill or killed story as we ran on a one lane road, but I sure did startle the hell out of a new M5 today. We started on 25a at a light, he took off and I followed full throttle. Being second in line I had a disadvantage as he had to get out of the way before I could nail it. He gunned it and I followed right behind him, real close. I would say he pulled a car or 2 ahead of our initial break- up to maybe 110mph. When the road turned to two lanes we hit traffic and come to the light in OB (by 106). He looked over and asked if I had a 55 or 63. When I told him it was a 550 he looked and said "damn, I thought I would pull away from you". I was real surprised how well I kept up with him!! We did not have a second chance to run as traffic stopped the fun, but I look forward to seeing another one soon...

I raced a M5 in my old M3 and the guy had to of been in P400 mode since he only pulled 1 car to 70ish, so it makes sense on the E550 losing by only a few, and my guess is most M5 drivers dont hit the M button all the time.

Sounds like the M guy did something wrong (short shifting, wrong hp mode, something like that). And believe me: I'm the last guy who would be making excuses for an M car,
but those things are quite quick if you push all of the right buttons and know what you're doing.

there a few videos of tuned 335's keeping up with stock m5 e60 to about 80 and then M start to pull away.
as the speed progresses, the more distance between both cars.
street races really are not true indication of full power.
In most cases, the car with the least power E550 is able to go WOT, while the car with the most power is only at around 70% or so. Therefore you see the outcome.
