My current car is a 99 M3. All I have is an intake and exhaust and I was hitting just around 14.0. Granted that's the stock time advertised but that's what happens when you have an automatic convertible with a 250 lb driver. Totally FML.

I hit 13.9 so it makes sense. I got the blingy wheels and subwoofer, plus I had 2 passangers in my car so I guess that is why the race was so close.

I didn't know the E36's could hit 14 flat, cool

I can't believe that a stock M3 does 14 flat. I thought it was somewhere around 14.5 or 15.

Same here...
I feel like if I had my car at stock specs (wheels and weight and all) I could hit a 13.7.
If I had my car modded to what it used to be I wouldn't be suprised with a 13 flat. Unfortunately, I'll never know...

And welcome Layla

Magazine tests showed 14.1-14.3 in stock form (this includes car and driver, road and track, and motor trend). This is on stock tires, with the CDV, etc. I was able to hit a 13.9@100 at US41 raceway bone stock with the CDV removed, the airbox restrictors removed, sticky street tires, and no spare tire.

I dont know why its so hard to believe... They are pretty damn light and have decent power?

S2k's make the same power and are about the same weight, less torque, and my friends AP2 ran a 13.9 after he learned how to launch it. People wont question that but they question E36's??

Hey Bobby, I would have questions the S2000 also lol...

I just never knew the E36's were that fast. I've gained lots of respect for the E39 M5 after getting my *** handed to me by one the other night.

So....still waiting till winter time to boost your M?

Not sure what to do. Money has been really tight, and I've been helping my parents out (they have some tight financial troubles), so the boost will probably have to wait. I'm still going to finish the suspension off this winter and I'll probably just try to compete for nationals next summer in STU for auto-x and do some track days with it until then. I'm graduating and I'll have a nice paying full time job by the spring though, so who knows what will happen then
