Well, I might have a race tonight. My '05 CLK500 stock with my 19" chrome rims vs an '03 350Z "Track model" with nismo exhaust and "pop charger" intake. I don't know much about it other than when I offered to run him for money he liked the idea. It might be for 2k.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions. What are the 350Z's weak and strong spots? I've never run one before.

Whether we run for money or not, I'll try to get it on camera for all of you guys .

Of course, runs will take place in "Mexico."

If you want to find out more info or have something important to tell me please PM me. Thanks.

V8, Flat 6, V6, & Turbo flat 4
07 Z and Nismo Z are quicker than previous gens.
03-05 had power on the low end, 06 was more towards high end with the rev-up motor and now the new ones have both low and high end.

The new Z would slightly pull on a CLK550, stock vs stock.

I do give props to Nissan for making a nice looking ride with good performance and nice styling, plus you can fit some nice wide wheels in the rear with no fender modification.

Damn...any more info? I think I'll renegotiate terms ($500 and call it a night).

Maybe a 500, but not a 550. 07 Z is only 306HP. CLK550 is 382.

Plus 391ft/lbs of torque, 0-60 in 5 flat, etc... I'd like to see any stock 350 compete with the clk550.

ditch any stereo equipment you got in the trunk and if you racing for l00t than put your stock wheels back on. 19"'s are going to slow you down enough that it could cause you to lose when you otherwise wouldn't

My money's on you winning.

A CLK550 would pwn any stock 350Z. 75 more horsepower and 100 more ft-lbs of torque in a car that maybe weighs 400 - 500 lbs more.

And yeah, I didn't want to list it on here because I wasn't sure if the guy was reading these posts, but I was going to remove the subwoofer and amp and take out my spare tire.
